Trying to be happy.

Chapter 21:

(That is Jasmine's outfit later in the chapter.)
When I wake I up I get out of the bed and walk into the bathroom.I brush my teeth and curl my hair at the ends.I walk back into Drew's room and grab my bag.I put on the One Direction tank top I was supposed to wear yesterday and my same shorts.I really do not want to take the bus so I decide to wake up Drew.
"Drew,can you drive me to school?"I ask him,slightly shaking his shoulder.He nods his head and gets up.He walks to his dresser and put on a shirt,he gets his jeans off the floor,and walks out of the room.I grab my bag,I'm so happy this is my last week.Drew comes back into the room and grabs his keys and his phone.He puts his hand out for me and I grab it.We walk to the car in silence he opens the door for me when we reach it the car.I get in and he does the same.He very quiet this morning.
"Are you okay?"I ask him as he pulls out of the driveway.He nods but stays silent.
"Okay,so what are you gonna do today?"I ask him and he rolls his eyes.
"I don't know,Jasmine."He says,a little to harshly.
"Okay I won't ask you anymore questions."I say and frown.
"Good."He mumbles and continues to drive.Why is he being so mean?Did I do something?When we arrive at the school,I unbuckle my seatbelt.
"Bye Drew,I love you."I say and he nods.
"Mhmm bye Jasmine."He says,I sigh and close the door the minute I do he takes off.The day goes by pretty fast before I know it it is two thirty and I can go.I call Drew,but he doesn't answer so I walk to the bus stop.I wait for about fifteen minutes before the bus comes I step on and ride home.When I step in Kayla and my dad are in the kitchen cooking.I don't like that they are together,but she is as sweet as can be and she makes dad happy.
"Hi guys."I say and sit in the stool.
"Hey Jasmine,how was your day?"Kayla asks handing me a bowl of some fruits.
"It was okay,but my boyfriend is acting weird."I tell her taking a bite of my cantaloupe.
"What do you mean?"She asks.
"He was just mad for no reason."I say and she nods.
"That's odd maybe you should call him."Kayla suggest.
"I did he didn't answer."I say.
"Give him a few hours he will come around."She assures and I nod.I go upstairs and call Drew one more time before taking a shower I put on my cloud pajama pants with a tank top and put my hair in a bun.I go to sleep hoping that Drew will come around.When I wake up the next morning no calls or texts.I keep telling myself he will come around,but he doesn't it is now Friday.I ha e not heard from Drew.I've talked to Trina,but we were not talking about Drew.I get up out of the bed and dressed.I do not want to take the bus so I decide to call Eric.Drew is avoiding me,so he can't say I could have called him.Eric says that he is on his way as soon as possible and I thank him before heading downstairs.As soon as I walk outside Eric's car pulls up.God he must have been speeding.I get into the car and he smiles.
"Hey Jas,you look good today."He compliments and I smile and thank him.
"So you happy it's your last day?"He asks and I nod.
"Do you need a ride back home?"He asks.
"Yeah thanks."I say and he nods.
"Hey,do you think I could take you to dinner tonight?"He asks nervously.
"Umm sure."I say and he smiles.I look down at my ripped jeans and t-shirt.
"Where are we going?"I ask him.
"That place that we were going to go when we were dating."He says pulling into my school.
"I'll need to go home and change,you said it was nice."He nods I get out of the car and walk into my school.The day goes by fast and Eric is already outside of the school before I call him.I get in the car and he smiles.He is always so smiley when he is around me.
"Hey Jas."He greets me.
"Hey Eric."I say back.He drives me home and I go upstairs to get ready.I get out my White and brown baby doll empire waist dress,my brown beaded sandals,and a brown purse.I out on the clothes and go to the bathroom I curl my hair in bouncy curls and put on blush,eye shadow,and eye liner.I text Eric and tell him I am ready.I walk downstairs and tell my dad my plans and he says that is fine.I walk outside to see Eric waiting by his car.He has on a red plaid shirt,jeans,and red converse.
"You look beautiful."He tells me,opening the door for me.I thank him and step into the car.
"You look good too."I compliment.The silent ride is filled with "Love me like you do" by Ellie Goulding.When we get there I open the door and step out and he does the same.He tells me to sit and wait while he gets our table.Five minutes later a balding man walks us to our table.We order our drinks and start to look at our menu.I settle on blackened chicken pasta and Eric is getting steak.Before I can take my first bite I see Drew and I drop my fork.
"I don't talk to you for a week and I find you here with this joker!"Drew yells,pointing at Eric.
"You were avoiding me."I say.
"That doesn't mean you go and sleep with Eric!"He says.
"You know I didn't sleep with him."I say,Drew's eyes soften.
"Come with me."He says grabbing my hand,but I jerk away.
"You come in hear yelling at me and you want me to leave with you."I say.
"We will talk later."I tell him.Eric gets us to-go and we leave.When we get in the car "Talking body" by Tove Lo is on and I look at Eric.He leans in and our lips touch.It is nothing like our first kiss this kiss is fiery and passionate.I cross over the console and start to rock.I pull away and look down.
"You were right."I say.
"What do you mean?"He asks.
"I am a whore."I say.
"Hey no your not."He says.I climb off of him and he starts to drive.When I get home I shower and change into my pajamas I get into bed,curl up,and start to cry.My life was never so hard.It was simple now I have all this drama.I don't even know what I want anymore.
