Trying to be happy.

Chapter 12:

"I'm Drew."Drew answers,trying to sound bold.
"Oh your Trina's older brother?"My dad asks.
"Yea."This is going better than I thought it would.
"So why are you here holding hands with my daughter?"My father asks pointing to our still joined hands.
"Well I was gonna let her change for our date tonight."Drew says,seemingly unfazed by my father's change of demeanor.
"Oh so you two are together then?"My father asks with hooded eyes.
"Yes we are."Drew answer proudly,he looks down at me and smiles at me.I give him a smile back.
"Hmm tell me about yourself Drew."My father demands.Wait what?
"Well I attend the community college,but I am transferring to Washington.I have a job at Apple as the assistant manager.I take care of my little sister,Trina,since our mom died in a car crash and we never knew our dad.I'm twenty years old,and....that is it."Drew explains.
"Hmm hardworking,ambitions,great future,drive,and decent looking.Ok you and Jasmine have my blessing to date,but Jasmine you know this one."My father points at me.
I roll my eyes but say,"No sex."In a monotone voice.
"That's right,i gave you my daughter in one piece I expect her to stay that way."My father warns.
"Yes sir,i respect you daughter too much to do that any way."Drew says and I look up at Drew and roll my eyes.
"Well I'm going change."I annouce.
"Drew is this a flats place or heels?"I add.
"Flats."He answers,i nod and walk into the bathroom.I change into the dress and step out of the bathroom.Drew and my father turn around at the same time and both of their eyes go wide.I blush a little.
"Let's go."Drew says reaching his hand out for me.I nod and take his hand in mine.I say bye to my dad and we walk out to Drew's car.
"Where are we going?"I ask looking out if the window.
"Pats of Henderson."He answers stopping at a red light.I just and put my hand over his on my thigh.When we arrive drew opens my door and I step out.
Drew's P.O.V.
Jazzy and I walk hand in hand into the restaurant.
"Sit here I'll go get our table."I tell her before walking to the podium.
"Reservation for Drew Williams."I say to the half bald man.
He eyes my arm and I look down at it to remember my tattoos are on my arms.He looks down through the book and shakes his head."There is no reservation for a Drew Williams.What I know good and well I made that reservation.I just nod and walk away.
"They couldn't find my restaurant,I say breaking Jasmine's attention from a silly snapchat from Trina.
"That's ok we can go somewhere else."Jasmine says.God she is so perfect.
"Like where."I say while we walk out of the restaurant.
"I don't know this date was your idea."She teases.I smile and look down at her her hair is on one shoulder,her gorgeous lips are slightly open,her eyes are slightly closed by the sun,and the sun is making her glow more than usual.
"Come Drew hurry up."She whines pulling at the handle of my car.I hadn't realized we were at my car.I unlock the door for her and she gets in.
"So what did you think about my idea to go to the fair."She asks quietly.
"Yea that's cool."A fair can be fun,well anything is fun with her.
"Ok."She says taking her hand out of mine to turn on the radio,earned it by the weekend comes on and she's about to turn it but I stop her.
"Let's sing."I tell her,and she laughs.
"What, um ok."We sing along the song,in the most corny way possible.She laughs almost the entire time at my horrible singing.When we arrive at the fair she is cracking up.
"I can't believe you had the nerve to talk about my singing."She says between laughs.Man I must be dreaming.When we arrive at the fair she steps out of the car and shivers.I reach into my back seat and grab my gray hoodie.
"Here."I say handing her the hoodie.She pulls it over her head and I gasp at how good she looks.
"Hey, give me my bag."She says and I reach in the back seat and get her huge back.She takes out a tank top and a pair of shorts;she walks away without a word.She comes back with my hoodie on but she now has jeans on.She places her bag back in my car.
"Much better."She says,lacing her fingers in mine.We walk further into fair while she talks about how Harry betted on Tessa's virginity.I find it quite humorous and she swats me in the arm.We see a huge green attraction and it has a lot of loops.She continues to walk but I stop her,she furrows a brow at me.
"Let's get on it."I say pulling her toward a the line.
"Drew no I don't want to."She whines pulling her hand from mine.
"Come on it'll be fun."I say grabbing her hand again.
"I'm afraid of roller coasters."She says.What that is not normal.
"It's ok I'll protect I tell her."She looks at the ride,and sighs in defeat.I pull her to line and we are put in our seats after twenty minutes of waiting.She looks nervous and I don't like it.I give her a kiss and smile.
"It'll be okay I got you."She visibly relaxes and I put my arm around her.Another teenage couple smiles and looks at us.The rides starts and Jasmine looks like she may pass out any second.
