Nope

I had to do it.       I had to.... right?

I shot up in bed with a cold sweat. I looked over to the clock- 3:00 am. The same time every night. I walked out of my room and into the kitchen. I got myself some water, completely forgetting about the other people in this house.

His blood, his screams, his pleas.

They all repeated in my hand, and without realizing I had shattered the fragile glass cup that was in my hand. Water spilled over me, and a few pieces of glass were lodged in my palm.

"Dammit." I muttered, and heard footsteps coming downstairs.

I walked over to the pantry and rummaged around until I found a first-aid kit.

Three sets of feet.

I got the glass out, and then put my hand under the foset. The harsh water hitting my raw skin stung, but I kept washing the blood away.

"What the hell happened?" Liam.

Noah, "This is the third fucking glass."

A few extra steps to me, "That's not a good way to get the blood off, and you know it." Ethan.

I took a deep breath, and Ethan shut the faucet off. I turned to the three sleepy men.

"I didn't mean to wake you."

More blood started dripping down my wrist so I grabbed a paper towel. I held it to my hand until the bleeding stopped.

"Get your shit together Vickers." Noah stormed back into his room.

"You should know it's me at this point. Don't get all pissy, you're the one that chose to come out of your room."

I pulled the towel off, and pulled out a few bandaids. Liam went to bed as well, and that left me with Noah.

"Are you ok Harper?"

I finished with the kit, and stuffed it back into its hiding spot. "Fine, just like I've been every other night."

He sighed, frustration clear on his features. "You need to let someone in."

I took a menacing step to him, "I don't need to do shit."

The next day I was being assigned a new team. This one consisted of all guys once again- Case, Sam, and Cade. Who the hell thought it'd be a good idea to put a Case, and a Cade on the same team.

Idiots.

I walked into the small meeting room, and all eyes turned to me. One of them quickly shut the folder... my folder.

"Morning boys." I leaned against the wall with my arms crossed.

One of them walked over to me, "It's nice to meet you Annika." He held a hand out to me.

Reluctantly I took it, "Sure."

He brought his hand back down, "I'm Cade."

Brown longish hair, tan, tall 6' maybe. Left handed, and something was wrong with his right leg. He kept shifting over, and putting all his weight on his left, his right was in pain. Freckles dotted his face, and he had green eyes.

I looked him over, and everyone watched me do it. A few of them snickered, but Cade didn't- he knew what I was doing. Once I was done he pointed to another man.

"Case."

Dirty blond hair, average height probably- about 5'6, pale but not too pale, recently divorced- he had a ring shaped tan line on his ring finger, he had dark brown eyes, right handed, and he favored the man next to him.
