We all had to go out with the agency's cards so we could get black tie clothes. Of course Sam, and I went together and so did the boys. We walked up to an expensive looking dress store, and walked in. At first everyone was staring at us- I was wearing jeans and a button down, and she was wearing a little sun dress. I walked to the back of the store and looked at all the red dresses. Sam found a stunning yellow dress that accinted her eyes well. I on the other hand couldn't find anything.
"I'm gonna go to another store. You can find shoes here, and I'll meet up with you in like half an hour?"
She scrunched up her face, "Want any help?"
I shook my head, "No, I already know what I'm looking for."
With that I walked out of the shop, and into another. Just like I said, 30 minutes later I was standing at the car with a two bags. She jogged over to me, super giddy.
"What'd you get?" She reached for my bag, but I pulled it back.
"You'll see it when I put it on."
She pouted a little, but I ignored it and put my bags in the car. She followed suit, and soon enough we were back at the house. The boys had gotten here only a few minutes earlier than us. Now we had 3 hours to get ready, and get to the mansion. The drive was about an hour, so we only had two to get ready. I of course only needed one. I slipped on my outfit, and added a pair of black heels. I left my hair down, and added a simple wave to it. I strapped knifes to my ankle, and the pants covered them. I added a light makeup, and a red simple lip. Once I was done, I walked downstairs to be met with the boys. Both their mouths dropped open as I came into view. Before they could question, I answered.
"I don't like dresses."
Elijah smiled, "You look awesome in that suit! Plus the top, you look badass!"
A small chuckle left my mouth. "Thank you Elijah. You look amazing yourself."
Elijah was wearing a normal suit, white top, black everything else. Cody on the other hand was wearing an all black suit, and he had a few silver rings on.
"You look nice Cody." I kept my face void of any emotion.
If I were to be honest with him I would've said, you look fantastic in that suit. Plus the rings are a very nice touch. But he doesn't need to know any of that.
"As do you." I stood between him, and Elijah.
The two men made small talk, and I opted to stay out of it.
"Alora! I need your help!"
I contained the urge to roll my eyes, and went up to help her. The yellow dress she had was staying on her shoulders, but she couldn't seem to zip it. With ease I zipped it up, and she turned to me. A small smile stayed on my face, and a large one on hers.
"Wow." Was all she really said.
She looked gorgeous herself. Her hair was down, but she had clipped jewel covered clips in her hair.
"The boys are waiting for us." I bit my lip, "I hate to ruin the surprise that I was going to have for you guys, but I need something from you."
She gained a curious look.
"Chase Parker happens to be my ex-boyfriend. And yes I knew how he got rich so fast, but at the time he had nothing to do with this other dude. Also, he thinks I'm married."
Her eyes widened as I continued.
"He thinks I'm married to a very wonderful, women." I closed my eyes, "So, tonight you get to be my wife."
I opened my eyes, and she was just staring in shock.
"T-that didn't sound like a question."
I nodded my head to the side, "It wasn't. I need a wife, and you're the only girl on the team."
She took a moment, "I'll do it."
"Good, cause no wasn't an option for you."
I went to walk out, but she stopped me.
"So... you're into girls?"
She sounded like a child asking the question. I understand it's a hard one to ask, but there are better ways.
"Yes, and I'm also into to boys." I said it like I was a teenager.
I opened the door, and she came up next to me.
"That's awesome you know."
I started walking out, "I don't care."
When we got to the bottom of the steps Elijah's mouth dropped open again. This time his eyes were glued to Sam. Cody didn't look impressed at all, which I found odd. Cody tried to drive once again, but Elijah pulled him into the passenger's seat.
"Why won't you let me drive?"
"Why do you want to drive so badly?"
"I don't trust other people driving."
I look to him for a second, "Neither do I."
The rest of the car ride was silent. Everyone could tell he hit a nerve with me, and no one wanted to mess things up anymore. When we finally got there I bent my arm, and Sam slid hers through. We easily got passed the guards, and in to the ballroom. The second I walked in Chase's eyes landed on me. I walked over to him, with Sam still on my arm.
"Cynthia."
Oops.
"You idiot, it's Alora and you know that."
He shook his head with a laugh, "How could I forget. It's good to see you Alora." He looked over to Sam, "Do I finally get to meet your wife."
"No. Why'd you invite me here?"
"I don't remember you being on the guest list. Why did you come anyway?"
"We haven't spoken for years Parker. I thought you were finally going to apologise."
He got an angry look in his eyes, "If I remember correctly, you left me."
"Because you'd been using me to get to my brother!"
Shit.
"Sister! I thought I heard your painstakingly annoying voice."
He walked in front of me, and stood next to Chase.
"I don't remember your wife looking like this."
Fuck.
"Well you're remembering wrong. I've been married to the same women for almost 4 years."
He tilted his head to the side, "Really? I feel like I remember a messy breakup."
"I shouldn't've come here."
Chase took a step to me, "No you shouldn't've. You're brother told me you're an agent now, and we both know I would never invite you here."
With that I was pulled away from Sam. Luckily he didn't seem to understand she truly wasn't my wife. Two men pulled me out of the ballroom, and down a hall. They threw me into a bedroom, and Chase walked in shortly after.
"I hate to restrain you, but I know you'll fight if I don't."
One of the two men pushed me into a chair, and the other tied my hands together in the back.
"You're wife looks lovely. I take it she doesn't know about what you do?"
I shook my head, "Of course she does idiot."
