The jet landed, and everyone climbed off. The ride here was terribly quiet, Sam and Elijah tried to talk to me a few times, but the conversation never held for long. Cody on the other hand was watching my every move. Once we got to the pad, we had drive a few hours to the house they were staying at.... we were staying at. I walked over to the driver side of the black bullet proof car.
"I'm driving." I started to open the door, and a hand stopped me.
I turned to see Cody, "I always drive."
I kept a stocic face, "Suck a dick."
I pushed his hand away from me, and then got in the car. Cody wouldn't move from the driverside, but Elijah and Sam got the hint I wasn't moving. They both slid into the backseat, and started talking quietly.
I rolled the window down, "If you don't get in the car in the next 5 minutes, I'm leaving."
"I'm too close to the car, you can't."
I raised my brows, and heard the quiet whispering in the back stop. For the few hours we've known each other those two seem to have a solid idea of who I am.
"Cod, just let her drive!" Elijah shouted, and then I heard his belt buckle.
Then I heard Sam's.
"I'm driving, I always do. You can't just come in here, and change everything."
I poked my head out the window and saw he was far enough away for me to drive.
I peeled away, and the tires made an awful screeching sound. I heard Cody shouting, and I couldn't help but smile. They need to learn to listen to me. After a few seconds of driving out of the parking lot I turned back, and pulled up right next to Cody. He jumped back, but it wasn't like I was going to hit him.
"Get your ass in the car, or I will leave next time. I have better driving skills than any of you, so no matter how close you get I will leave. And if you put your feet anywhere near the tires, I will run them over."
With a huff Cody walked around the car. I rolled the window up, and he hopped into the car mumbling nonsense. I sped out of the parking lot, and watched as he gripped the door handle. I was going like 5 miles over the speed limit, and Cody kept looking from me to the road ahead.
"You can't go this fast! You're gonna get us pulled over!"
"No, you're gonna get us pulled over." I pointed to his belt, "Buckle. Now."
He was so focused on the fear of my driving, that his belt slipped his mind. He quickly buckled it, and still held onto the car door. After two hours of driving over the speed limit I pulled into the driveway and parked.
"That, was awesome!" I could hear Elijah get hit by Sam.
I ignored him, and got out. I grabbed my bags and made my way inside. I chose a room that was upstairs, and far away from the others. I started unpacking, and then plopped onto my bed with my phone in hand. Against my better judgement I scrolled through my contacts, and hit one. It rang for a little while, but went to voicemail.
Hey this is Rosey! I'm probably hanging out with someone, and I never check my voicemails, so just call back tomorrow...... or never. You can chose!
BEEP.
I hung up the phone with a sigh. I threw my phone onto my bed next to me, and got up. I walked down to the kitchen, and saw the three all sitting at the counter laughing. I ignored them once again and started digging through the fridge.
"Hey, we don't have the case files yet so we were gonna get drunk tonight. You have to join."
I grabbed and apple and turned to Sam.
