What Happened

"We were on a simple mission. George, Farha, Lucas, and me."

I closed my eyes...

"I told you guys that would be easy!" I shouted while skipping to the car.

Lucas shook his head, "Yeah, but it was almost too easy Harley."

I rolled my eyes at his negativity, and chose to ignore it.

"We should get drinks!" I slid into the passenger seat, and everyone followed suit.

We ended up getting drink at a bar a few miles away from the house. George was the DD, and everyone else was getting drunk out of their minds. I was lightweight so it didn't take long for me to lose it. When we left the bar I was a little more sobber that I was a few hours ago, but not sober enough to pay attention.

George got in the car, and I in the passenger seat just like earlier. Everything was fine. I looked outside and noticed we were somewhere I didn't recognize.

I looked over to George slurring my words, "Where you going? Homes the other way dork."

I looked in the back to see our other two teammates passed out in the back.

"It's a shortcut."

I looked back to him, and watched as he turned the A.C. on.

"D-don't, it's cold in here all ready."

George kept it on, and didn't look at me. In a few seconds I fell asleep, and was unaware what was happening. When I woke up I was in a large room with a bag over my head. My head was pounding, and I could hear somone talking.

"My first contender!"

Where am I? Panic set in, as I stood up and was greeted by a few loud cheers. I tried to rack my brain for how I ended up here, but I couldn't figure it out. If I'm here does that mean everyone else is? Before I could think about it too much a horn blared and the same person started talking.

"Let me explain what's about to happen! In a few minutes someone else will join you in that disgusting pit Harley."

He knows my name.

"Then you two will fight to the death, whoever wins moves on and whoever loses..... Well they'll be dead."

No, no, no.

The bag was ripped off my head, and bright lights blinded me for a moment. My eyes dilated in a few seconds, but my head was still pounding. I looked around and saw a glass box with a few people in it. One man was holding a microphone, and they were all sitting on chairs watching me. I heard a loud metal door open, and I spun to see Lucas coming out. I looked back up to the box, to see the man smirking.

"You may begin!"

I started to walk over to Lucas so we could talk, but he didn't have talking in mind.

"I'm sorry Harley." He pulled a small knife out of pants and charged me.

I easily doged him, but had never been more confused. I looked over his appearance and noticed there was red on it... There was blood on it.

"What'd you do Lucas?"

He came at me again, and this time I knocked the knife out of his hand. Now it was just hand to hand combat.

"What's going on Lucas?!" Tears started to fill my eyes as I fought my teammate.

"It has to happen like this, I'm sorry Harley."

I pushed the tears back, and started fighting him like the enemy, and not my friend. I was never a great fighter, but my knife skills were better than most. I quickly got the blade back in my hand, and him pinned beneath me.

Lucas just smiled, as sweet loving smile.

"Why can't we talk?"

He shook his head, "I tried talking... It didn't work." He looked me in the eye, "You have to kill me Har."

I shook my head, and just closed his eyes.

"Why'd you let me win?"

He chuckled a little, "I didn't think you'd notice."

"I'm not an idiot, I can't ever get you pinned in training."

He opened his eyes back up and kept his smile, "It's ok Haley. You need to live for your baby girl. I don't have any family, you do."

The tears came back, "T-the team, we're your family."

The voice came again, "HURRY THE HELL UP!"

I flinched, and Lucas winked at me. "You are my family."

I was going to move off him, but he grabbed my wrist and pulled the knife into his stomach. Tears fell down my face, and a scream bubbled it's way up my throat. I climbed off him, and tried to stop the bleeding but somone came in the area and grabbed me.

"LET ME GO!" I fought as best I could, but this guy was ten times my weight.

Lucas was dragged away, and I watched the life slowly drain from his face.

"No." I whispered, and then was released on to the floor.

After him George came out. He kept apologizing, and it took me a second to figure out what happened. He didn't get drunk, he drove us home, he turned on the A.C when I wasn't asleep. I should've cared about him, but I didn't. He didn't even fight back, and I didn't realize what I had done till his body was gone, and a gun was thrown at my feet. I tried to move, but I couldn't. After him my dad came out. That one confused me, he wasn't with us.

We fought a little, but it was obvious he was holding back. As we fought he was able to speak a little.

"You're brothers back Harley. He found you, and told me he would hurt you if I didn't come with him. Im sorry."

After him, Farha. When I wouldn't fight her they right my daughter out. The main guy held a gun to her head, and I could see her body shaking. She was scared, and didn't know what was happening.

After everything I sat in the cold hard floor and cried. My wife in my arms, and my babygirl dead in a glass box while people laughed. I didn't feel anything hit me, but the next thing I knew I was back in my room. I thought it was a dream until I walked into their old rooms. On every bed there was a small envelope with pictures of their dead bodies inside.

I kept my gave in my hands as Cody processed what I just told him.

A/N- I kinda wrote this on my phone, so when I get home (I'm at school) I'll look back over this. So sorry if there are a lot of mistakes!
