I handed another one to Sam, and Elijah before carefully unlocking the door. We all walked in quietly, and got all the way to the living room before Sam screamed. We spun around to see a man holding a knife to her neck. I immediately knew who it was and rolled my eyes. I leaned against the wall across from him, and crossed my arms.
"Good to see you too."
They boys turned to face me.
"You speak, I'll slit her throat."
"I don't know-"
He cut into her lightly, but hard enough to draw a little blood. Elijah started to panic, and Cody looked pissed.
"Keep your mouth shut!" He hissed, and used his free hand to throw the knife right next to my head.
He quickly grabbed another, and held it right back at her neck.
"No. It's not like you're gonna kill her if I don't."
He smiled a little, "Why makes you say that sister? If I slit her throat I'll still have two others."
I pushed off the wall, "Right, but if I don't care about them I'll let them all die."
Cody's mouth fell open, and the other two paled even more.
The man just shook his head, and pushed Sam away from himself.
"Still heartless I see."
"Still murderess I see." I sassed back at him. "Why don't we take this to the dining room? My feet are killing me, and I would love to sit down."
"Drop your knife."
I twirled in in my hand, "We both know that's not gonna happen. Boys, you should drops yours."
"Why?" Cody took a step to me.
"My brother doesn't play nice with others."
Elijah did as I said, but Cody didn't.
"Get your pet to listen Alora." My brother hissed.
So he needs something, or he would've used my real name.
"I'm not her pet." Cody practically growled at him.
I walked over to him, and gently placed my hand over his. His eyes shot to mine, and he let out a sigh.
"Please let go Cody." My voice was a soft whisper.
Surprisingly he let go, and I took the knife from him. My brother tsked, insinuating he didn't want me to have two knives. So I threw the knife right next to his head, just as he had done to me.
"There."
He walked over to me, and put a hand on my back pushing me into the dinning room.
He looked over his shoulder, "This is a family affair, I suggest you stay back."
I sat down in a chair, and he sat across from me.
"What trouble are you in now brother?"
"Why don't you use my name?"
"Just answer my question." I ran a hand down my face.
He sighed, "You need to leave Kelly alone."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because."
I leaned forward, "Because, isn't an answer. She has some dangerous stuff, and she's selling it to people who could use it to kill millions."
