"What the hell happened?" it was the early hours of the morning, and thankfully, Lexie was in a deep sleep because I didn't want to leave her alone if I thought she was gonna wake up anytime soon.

And I really didn't want to leave her, but I had to. I was woken up by my phone, realising it was my mom, I had left the room to answer it. Something bad must've happened. And of course my suspicions were correct.

I was now in the ER, hurriedly glancing the room for any signs of my mom or Isaac. How the hell did he get hurt? My mom appeared from behind her desk, dressed in maroon scrubs and a panicked expression on her face as I approached her. I'm glad she called me and not Scott, that would be a lot of explaining to do in one night.

On the way here, I notified Derek, and he said he'd be here as soon as possible. I guess I'm gonna see him twice in one night. "Mom, what happened?"

"A motorcycle accident,"

"What?" then what was the issue, Isaac was gonna heal perfectly fine, why did she have to call me like this in the middle of the night? Unless there's more. "There's something else, isn't there?"

She just shrugged and looked over my exhausted and distraught face. Honestly tonight has been chaotic, and I just need it to be over. "See for yourself." she gave me his room number and I hurried off, not giving her a 'thank you' or anything. She knows that I can be antsy when I don't get any sleep.

I strutted down the hallway, my boots clacking against the tiled floor and my leather jacket billowing past me because of how fast I was moving. I gotta admit, I used to not like Isaac, but now, he's grown on me, and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him. And something tells me that whatever has happened to him has something to do with our new enemies: The Alpha Pack.

Swinging the door to his room open, I spotted him lying in the bed trying to rip off the multiple leads that connected to machines and most likely were monitoring his heart rate. I spotted blood covering his face and most of his taut stomach. Of course he was shirtless, I mean thank god the sheets were covering his bottom half because we weren't that close for me to see his junk just yet.

"What are you doing?" I hissed, closing the door tightly behind me and rushing to his side, attaching the cables back to his chest.

"I'm fine," he groaned, before coughing and pressing his head back against the pillow. My guess was that he wasn't fine and that he must've encountered one of the Alphas, because these wounds, they weren't healing anytime soon.

I scoffed and looked down at him, "no you're not. Let me take a look," hesitantly, he nodded his head and I lifted back the white sheet, stopping just at his hip because I didn't want to see anything beyond that.

When I spotted the 4 or 5 large gashes across his stomach, my mouth dropped and I glanced back up at him, "wow, all this blood looks...good on you...it-it really brings out your eyes," I tried to make light of the situation as he chuckled slightly, just causing him more pain. I swallowed the lump in my throat before shaking my head and squinting at the wounds. "Who am I kidding? Isaac, this is bad, this is really, really bad,"

"I'm fine, I'll heal," he nodded quickly, shifting his position and letting out a light groan as he did so, yeah he's totally not fine.

"Yeah, but not quick enough for them to schedule you for surgery," his eyes widened as he looked at me completely lost,

"What?"

"When you are halfway healed tomorrow, the doctors are gonna be very suspicious." I reminded him but he just shook his head, thinking the situation would figure itself out.
