"Holy crap! Scott!" I yelled, looking at the vending machine that had been placed directly in front of the storage closet. I could've heard Isaac's screams for help from miles away. Every time I heard it, it made my heart lurch and I couldn't take it. I had to help him. Plus, Allison was in there, and if Isaac shifts, she's screwed.
I pulled against the soft drinks machine, groaning as I pulled it with all my might. Someone had placed it there, purposefully. My guess is on the twins, since they also got Isaac into lunchtime detention during Chemistry. It was a whole stunt they pulled, and this, this was part of it.
Finally, Scott came to my aid and we pulled the machine out of the way before swinging the door open. After seeing that Isaac was inches away from attacking and possibly killing Allison, Scott took the lead, rushed in and grabbed Isaac. Slamming him down against the ground, he had grabbed him by the neck.
Isaac's deep amber eyes were on show and I looked around quickly to check no one was around. He was thrashing in Scott's grasp, so Scott did the one thing that apparently would get him under control. Scream his name. "Isaac!"
He growled weakly before exhaling which caused his features to return to normal. Scott stood up and immediately went to Allison's side as she stepped out of the tightly packed closet.
That must've felt like hell for Isaac, being locked up again like that. It brings back traumatic memories, a form of PTSD. Isaac scooted back against the cold drinks machine and rested his back against the front of it, dragging a hand through his hair and panting slightly, his eyes laced with guilt at what he could've done to Allison.
"Hey, hey, it's okay," I reassured him as I fell by his side and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, holding him tightly and making sure he wouldn't panic again. "It's okay, you're okay," I repeated as he rested his head against my shoulder and sniffed.
"Allison." Scott spoke slowly, going to check if she was okay and spotting two gashes across her wrist. They weren't that bad, but of course she's human so it's very different for her when it comes to healing and pain and all of that.
"I'm okay. I'm fine." she brushed him off as Isaac spoke against my neck. I had my arms wrapped around him in comfort and he wasn't planning on moving anytime soon.
"I'm sorry, I didn't... I didn't mean to do that."
Allison nodded and pressed her hand against the wound to stop it from bleeding, "I'm okay."
"I'm so sorry." he croaked and I bit down on my lip to stop myself from breaking down. Just seeing him like this broke my heart. Isaac has never once deserved something like this. And I always used to hate him, but his traumatic past was something I always looked past. No one deserves that, especially not him.
"It's not his fault." Allison cleared up as Scott looked between the two of them. Obviously he was pissed that Allison got hurt, but I don't think he was pissed at Isaac, but she was right, this was not his fault whatsoever.
"I know." Scott nodded, finally agreeing. He looked over at me and at Isaac who was still wrapped in my arms, "I guess now we know they want to do more than get you angry."
"They want to get someone hurt." I finished, spotting Allison and realising that their whole plan was to get one of us - specifically Isaac because right not he was the most vulnerable - to hurt our own.
"So are we gonna do something?" Isaac lifted his head slightly, his eyes meeting my brother's. A smirk appeared on Scott's face as he looked ahead angrily. They really shouldn't have dragged Allison into this, because Scott is going to go mental.
