It was well after midnight, and something had woken Sabrina up. She stared across at the glowing numbers on her alarm clock before rubbing at her eyes and rolling over onto her back. With a sigh, she closed her eyes again and tried to go back to sleep, but voices from Scott's room kept her awake. When his conversation filled her ears, she sprung into an upright position and stared across at the door focusing her hearing.
"Can you hear me?" Scott's worried voice took over and she squinted her eyes trying hard to concentrate and try to hear the voice on the other end of the line.
"Scott, I don't-I don't know where I am." once she heard Stiles croak out a sob, she pushed back her covers and stumbled off her bed and to the door. When she flung Scott's door open, she spotted him in the centre of the room looking slightly panicked as he kept the phone to his ear. "I don't know how I got here. I think I was sleepwalking."
"What's going on?" she asked rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she followed her brother around the room.
"Okay, um, can you see anything? Just tell me what you see."
"Ah, it's dark. It's hard to see. I think there's something wrong with my-"
Suddenly his voice cut off and the two stopped in their tracks. Scott pulled the phone away from his ear and stared down at the dark screen. Sabrina's eyes widened in concern as he slowly turned to her. "What happened?"
"The line went dead." he muttered before dialling Stiles' number again. It rang and rang and the two McCalls paced the room nervously as they waited to hear his voice fill the room.
When the ringing stopped and the phone finally connected the two of them sighed in relief. "Hey Stiles?"
"This is Stiles and you missed me. Leave a message-"
And they were suddenly both racked with concern once again. "Come on." Scott muttered as he tried once again.
"Hey, this is St-"
"God, come on. Come on." just when they thought it was gonna go to voicemail again, the line connected but there was no message like before. "Stiles?"
"Scott, I don't think I can get out of here. I can't move."
"Where are you?"
"I don't know. I don't know, It's too dark. I can't see much and something's wrong with my leg. It's stuck on something. And it's..I think it's bleeding." Worriedly, the girl turned to her brother before grabbing his hand and pulling the phone towards her so Stiles could hear her.
"Stiles, Stiles! Hey, it's me, it's Sabrina. How bad? Stiles, how bad is it?"
But there was no response."Stiles, are you there? Can you hear me?"
"Ah, there's some kind of smell down here. Something smells terrible. It's brutal. My eyes are watering."
"Okay, listen. I'm calling your dad."
But before Scott could even dial Sheriff Stilinski to tell him that his son was missing, Stiles' hurried voice warned him not to. "No, no, no, no, don't."
"What? But Stiles your dad-"
"Don't. Just please don't call him. Promise you won't. He already worries about me too much. Scott, Sabrina...please." Scott turned to his sister, the two shared a uneasy glance, conflicted on what to do.
Sabrina cleared her throat and spoke up first, "But what if we can't find you?"
"Stiles, we can't make a promise like that."
"No, no, no, just please. Please, don't call him. Come find me. You guys can do it. He doesn't have to know. Scott, you two can find me."
"I don't know if we can do this." Scott whispered inaudibly to his sister, his voice shaking slightly at the thought of this impossible mission. How were they supposed to find him? He could be anywhere.
