"You know, I think it's time we give your boss a visit."

Those were my words at lunch, and I meant them seriously, so that's why we were here at the Animal Clinic after school for some answers. "It sounds like your subconscious is trying to communicate with you." Deaton explained as the four of us followed him into the exam room.

"Well, how do I tell my subconscious to use a language that I actually know?"

"Hey, do you remember what the sign language looked like?" I asked, stopping on the spot and turning to my instantly confused boyfriend. As far as he knew, I was only fluent in 4 languages.

"Oh what overnight you suddenly learned sign language?"

"No," I furrowed a brow before looking around at the others and smiling. "I took a class four years ago."

"Wow that is..." Stiles paused and then nodded with a smirk on his face. "that's hot."

I let out a chuckle as my cheeks started to flame red. Even when we're in a relationship, Stiles still has the power to make me blush constantly. Sometimes it's irritating and sometimes it's an amazing feeling. "Thank you."

"Okay..." Deaton started, breaking up the whole flirting thing we had going on. "do you remember the placement and movement of the hands?"

"Wait...You know sign language too?" Sabrina asked,

"I know a little. So, let's give it a shot." I slipped onto the metal table and narrowed my eyes when Stiles lifted his hands into certain positions.

"Okay, the first one was like this." he used his index finger and hovered it around in a circle above the other.

"That's "when."" I pointed out as Deaton nodded along, then we watched Stiles' hands again.

"Then there was this, twice." he had put both his hands flat out and then pulled one towards him. Basically signalling something opening. That's how I knew it was a door.

"That's door."

"And this in between it." he went to his chin and pulled down his thumb.

"That's it?" Deaton inquired as he worriedly glanced over at me. I don't know what kind of thing is going on in Stiles' head, but this by far is some of the craziest shit I have seen.

"Yeah."

"When is a door not a door?" I relayed the message into the English language and the three of them looked between each other before looking back at Deaton and I.

"'When is a door not a door'?"

"When it's ajar." I answered the riddle quite simply, mostly because I loved riddles when I was a kid. I had a book of them, it took me a week to complete. Those were like the first signs to my parents that I was extraordinary, or weird.

"You're kidding me. A riddle? My subconscious wants to tell me a riddle?"

"Not necessarily. When the three of you went under the water, when you crossed from unconsciousness to a kind of super-consciousness You essentially opened a door in your minds." just like I had explained to Sabrina yesterday.

Being in Eichen House, it made me open up my mind, and it pathed way for my banshee abilities to grow. Thankfully, when I escaped, I managed to close it. But I still have dreams, hallucinations, and something tells me the door to my mind might not be fully shut. "So what does that mean? The door's still open?" Sabrina asked,

"Ajar." I corrected her as she rolled her eyes at me need to constantly correct people. Whoops, I should probably dial back on that one. It makes people immediately hate me.
