Norman: Your mom is letting you go?
You nodded as you closed your locker. You pulled your backpack over your shoulder and Normie noticed the webshooters on your wrist.
Normie: So, are you just wearing those all the time, now?
You looked at your wrist and shrugged.
Y/N: They're comfortable.
You pulled your sleeve down and turned to your friend.
Y/N: So, I guess I'll be at the event with you and Faye.
Faye: You are?
You felt your ting go crazy which caused you to step out of the way. Faye stumbled forward with nothing to catch her. You quickly grabbed her backpack and pulled her back to her feet.
Faye: Uh, thanks.
You and Normie looked at each other knowingly.
Faye: So, you're going to the event? I thought you had to go see your dad's grave, or something.
You shrugged.
Y/N: My mom is giving me this year off. We're going tomorrow, instead.
Faye: Cool. So, matching suits again?
While Normie and her started to talk about what to wear tonight, you began to wonder how you were going to stop the Lizard.
Tonight, you had to be the hero.

You let out a yawn and smacked your lips a few times.
Y/N: I'm beat.
Normie: Dude, it's barely 4.
Y/N: And I'm beat. I kinda didn't get a lot of sleep last night. My bruises kept stinging every time I rolled over.
Normie gently placed a hand on your shoulder while you rubbed the back of your neck.
Y/N: I'm so sore.
Faye: Well, get over it! We have a party to get ready for!
Faye popped into Normie's bedroom with her suit on. She walked over to you and slapped your back, which made you cry out in pain before you fell over. Faye watched you roll over in pain while Normie winced.
Faye: Wow. Can't take a hit anymore, huh?
Normie: Uh, let's maybe not beat up Y/N tonight.
Faye: Aight.
You got back up to your feet and groaned as Faye headed out to head down to the ball room. You went to follow, but Normie stopped you.
Normie: Hey. You have the suit under, right?
You nodded and undid your first few buttons to show him the suit underneath.
Y/N: I also have the mask in my tux jacket. And, of course, the webshooters are restocked. But, uh, I'm running out of web fluid so I'll have to make some more later.
Normie nodded. Together, the two of you headed down.
