You heard birds chirping and the busy streets of New York down below. You knew them all too well. You were raised by these noises. The honking, the yelling, the construction, everything.

But that's not the reason why you woke up.

You felt someone staring at you.

You opened your eyes and found Mayday's arm hanging off the side of the top bunk. That was usual. What wasn't, was the newly spun nest that was in the top right corner of your room, right next to the door.

And sitting there, was the pair of eyes that were staring right at you.

You turned your head and looked over at the next to find Cindy staring right at you. You could only see the top part of her head, but she was looking right at you.

You slowly lifted a hand and waved at her but she didn't respond.

Okay, then.

SPIDER-MAN

You rubbed your eyes as you poured yourself a bowl of cereal. You set the box of cereal down and opened the fridge to find that there was no more milk.

Y/N: And life continues to kick my butt.

You closed the fridge and poured the cereal back into the box. You pulled out your phone and looked at the time.

MJ: Morning, Cub.

Your mom entered the room and you looked up with a smile.

Y/N: Morning.

MJ: You eat anything yet?

You shook your head.

Y/N: I'm just going to grab something on the way to Horizon.

MJ: Okay. And, what about your little friend?

You both looked over to see that Cindy was still watching you from around the corner. She looked at your mom and narrowed her eyes.

Did she think she was a threat or something?

Y/N: I.......I'm not entirely sure.

MJ: I'm guessing having a girl that doesn't talk follow you everywhere you go won't look good.

No it would not. Besides, you already had Morgan.

Y/N: Maybe Mayday can watch over her for the day?

MJ: Hopefully. I have to go to work.

You nodded and looked back to Cindy. This was going to be weird.
--------------
You walked through the halls of Horizon as you plucked off the last band-aid from your face. Your wounds were much better now and you were just glad to not look like a worn out punching bag.

You reached your lab and tossed your trash into the trash can before you set your bag down. You yawned and opened up a drawer where you had a list of things to do. Mostly projects you needed to work on.

Max: Oh, Y/N.

You looked up and found Max standing there with a box of old projects.

Max: Good to see you made it back to New York in one piece. You look better.

You smiled.

Y/N: It's good to be back. What's all that?

Max looked at the box.

Max: Just some abandoned experiments. I was going to put them in the Graveyard.

You raised a brow.
