You landed ontop of the apartment complex and the suit retreated back into your jacket. You felt your mouth twitch again as you thought back on what you had done to Shocker.
He deserved it.
No. That was crossing the line. You were supposed to be better than the other heroes.
But maybe they had the right idea.
Did they? Maybe....maybe you scared Shocker so much that he would give up for a while?
But you definitely should've broken more bones.
You shook your head and started down the fire escape. You eventually reached your floor and opened the window to your apartment.
Today has been weird. You still couldn't understand why you attacked Henry like that.
Oh, wait. You did. It was because he went and forced himself on you.
No. It was just in the heat of the moment. Miscommunication.
But it doesn't change the fact that he did it.
You entered the apartments but the light suddenly turned on. You looked up to find everyone waiting for you. Normie, MJ, Mayday, Robbie, Faye, Vivian, Cindy, and Morgan.
Normie was the first one to notice the bags under your eyes. They looked worse than before.
Y/N: What is this?
Mayday: Call it an intervention. What gives?
Y/N: What?
Normie: We saw the news. You beat the ever loving crap outta the Shocker. And all day you've had this chip on your shoulder.
They were here to hurt you. To betray you.
MJ: Cub, what's going on?
Y/N: N-Nothing. It's none of your business what I do.
You went to go to your room, but Robbie stepped in your way.
Robbie: Y/N, trust me. If what's happening is what I think it is, then you need to let us help.
You narrowed your eyes at him.
Y/N: I don't need help. Get out of my way.
Robbie crossed his arms.
Robbie: No.
Faye: Y/N, you need to calm down.
Y/N: I am calm!
MJ flinched at your voice. Her eyes grew wide as she took a second look at your appearance. She had seen this before.
Normie: No, you're not. This isn't you.
Y/N: What would you know? And do any of you care?!
Mayday: You're our friend. We care because we just do.
Y/N: Ha! Some friends you are. And you can't exactly talk yourself, Black Cat.
Mayday scowled at the name while Normie took a step forward.
Normie: If we didn't care, we wouldn't be here. We just want to help.
You looked at him for a moment. He had a point, didn't he?
No. He just wanted to make himself look good so he can hook up with your sister. He was a liar, just like the rest of them.
MJ: Cub.
You turned your attention to her as she slowly approaches you.
MJ: Did....did you get infected by a symbiote?
