You blew a raspberry as you looked at New York upside down. You were hanging under a balcony looking at your brilliant city, bored out of your mind.
Having to keep a low profile, you were forced to keep your patrol mostly small. A lot of hiding.
Thankfully it seemed like New York was fairly quiet for tonight.
However, while you were on patrol, Normie was back at the hideout working on his project.
He was alone since Mayday was with Faye and Robbie. Vivian was going to swing by later on with a surpise, but that would be a few more hours.
Plenty of time to finish what he had been doing for weeks.
Normie finally fixed the last of the wires and sat back. He lifted his goggles and looked at his project.
He smiled widely as he stood up and picked up his invention.
It was finally done.
Normie: Oh, man. Everyone is going to get a kick out of this.
He admired his handiwork, before he noticed the webshooters that were still sitting on his desk. The ones that Mayday rejected.
He knew she had her reasons, but he would hope she would understand that he had his own for what he had in mind.
Normie: Now to show everyone.
The New
SPIDER-MANYou landed on the hideout and climbed in. Once you entered, you noticed how quiet it was. Everyone must be out right now.
You crawled along the roof for a moment before you jumped down. You cracked your neck but stopped when you heard something.
Y/N: Hello?
There was no answer.
Then, there was laughter.
You immediately went on guard as a figure emerged from the darkness.
???: Hello there, Spider-Man.
Your eyes grew wide.
Y/N: What the heck?
You took a step back. Your senses weren't going off, but this guy was obviously bad news.
Y/N: Who are you?!
???: You don't know? I'm hurt. Truly, I am.
He then started to laugh again before he reached up to his neck and clicked a button. You watched as his helmet retreated and revealed a face. You raised a brow as you relaxed.
