You looked over to you friend with a confused look on your face. You were at your locker grabbing your books for your class when he ran up to you. Almost made you swallow your gum.
Normie: Look!
He held up his phone and you looked at it. It was a news article from the Daily Bugle. You read through it before you noticed the picture. It was of you ax kicking Lizard.
A New Spider-Man? New York's Mysterious New Hero.
Normie: You're viral, dude!
You looked around the hall and noticed that everyone was on their phones looking at the article. You turned back to Normie's phone and you read the article.
It was talking about how you were helping everyone with everything, then how you fought the Lizard at the ball.
You soon found yourself smirking at the idea of being known around the city before you looked at your friend.
Y/N: This is awesome. But, I think I wanna hang back on any more big fights. For now, at least.
Normie: I agree. But your bruise looks better.
You raised a hand to your cheek and noticed that it didn't hurt as bad anymore. Plus, it did seem to heal quite faster than normal.
But, you weren't ready for another big fight. For now, you think you should hang closer to the streets.

You stopped and turned around to find your friend walking your way. School was out but Normie had to head home early. Plus, you didn't have detention anymore. And you weren't grounded. Thankfully.
Y/N: Yo.
Faye finally reached you and looked at your cheek. It really did look better.
Faye: So, you wanna hit up the smoothie shop?
You thought about it for a moment before you agreed. Normie was busy anyway, so he couldn't be your guy in the chair. Plus, you had some time to spare before you had to go on patrol.
You and Faye headed to the smoothie shop where you got your usual before taking a seat.
Faye: So, did you hear about that new Spider-Man? The one that was at the ball. The Daily Bugle wrote an article on him. Totally made him out to be the next big thing.
You raised a brow as you drank your smoothie.
Y/N: What do you mean?
Faye shrugged.
Faye: He seems like any other hero wannabe. I mean, we have a Spider-Man. A few spider people. Can't he find a new stick?
Y/N: Well, there's only so many things you can do with those specific set of powers. And maybe he has some kind of connection to the other spider people.
Faye looked at you suspiciously.
Faye: You seem to know a lot about this dude.
You turned back to your drink.
