MJ sat at the table with this week's issue of the Daily Bugle. On it was the picture of the new Spider-Man. She read the article and sighed before she set it down. She looked over at your door for a moment.
She knew it could be you. But she couldn't confront you. That would mean she would have to tell you about your father. About his past.
And why she hid it from you.
But, for now at least, she wanted you to learn. You understand.
And when you failed, she would be there.
It was an awful thought, but sometimes you just needed to learn on your own.
The New Spider-Man
Normie: Hey, doofus.
You were smacked in the back of the head really hard. Normie quickly covered his mouth as he tried to hold back his laugh.
Normie: I so did not mean to hit you that hard. I'm so sorry.
You laughed as well and turned around to greet your friend.
Y/N: It's good. If you did, I think my senses would've gone off.
Normie sat down at his desk beside you before he set his bag down.
Normie: So, we working after school or what?
Y/N: Obviously. Do heroes get days off?
Normie: Nope.
You laughed and opened up your notebook. However, before you could get ready for class, sirens echoed through the halls. You and Normie looked out the window at the streets below and found a whole squadron of cop cars speeding past.
You both looked at each other. ------------ Y/N: Mom is totally gonna kill me for ditching.
You swung after the cop cars towards whatever crime scene they were heading to. You eventually realized that they were heading to a bank that was somewhat near your apartment.
You landed on a nearby roof and watched as the cars came to a halt. Officers then rushed out and took cover behind the cars with their guns drawn. Overhead, a helicopter flew.
Y/N: What the heck is going on?
Normie: Looks like the bank's getting robbed. They think it might be a villian.
You raised a brow.
Y/N: Which one?
The front doors suddenly went flying across the street, causing some of the officers to duck. From inside, came the robber.
???: All bow to the queen herself. The Scorpion!!!
