You sat with Normie at the smoothie shop before you headed to school for the day. You decided to leave earlier since you didn't really want to get caught by your mom again. Things were quickly becoming awkward in the Parker house.
Normie: I'm surpise Horizon is able to keep the whole robot thing under wraps this well.
You nodded.
Y/N: I know.
Normie: Was that thing really just ripping the place apart?
You shrugged.
Y/N: Not really. It seemed to be looking for something. It took a box of stuff. But I did manage to get this.
You reached into your bag and pulled out one of the bombs it threw at you. You handed it to Normie who looked at it.
Normie: What is it?
Y/N: A bomb.
Normie: What?!
He almost dropped the ball but quickly caught it while everyone else in the shop looked at the two of you. They returned to their business while Normie leaned towards you.
Normie: Why do you have a bomb?!
Y/N: Cause that's what the robot dude took. He threw two at me. Remember when I had to change costumes. The New one works like a charm, by the way.
Normie handed the bomb back to you and you tucked it away in your bag.
Y/N: I'm going to check it out in the hideout later.
Normie: I'll help too, but, let's not blow it up, yeah?
You nodded in agreement. That would be bad.
The New
Spider-ManYou yawned as you walked towards your lab. Normie would be in class right now so it was just you working in the lab. You still had no idea what to create, though.
Max: Ah, Y/N.
You stopped and turned around to see Max walking towards you.
Y/N: Hey, Max.
Max: I was actually looking for you.
You raised a brow.
Y/N: For me? I'm not in trouble, am I?
Max shook his head.
Max: Nothing like that. I was actually going to give you an offer, if you're interested, that is.
You shrugged.
Y/N: Lay it on me.
Max: I'm looking for a new lab assistant. Since you seem to be having trouble with a new idea, I figured you could use some inspiration.
Y/N: Wait, you want me to be your lab assistant?
Max nodded. You couldn't help but smile at the idea.
Y/N: Y-Yeah! Uh, I would love to.
Max: Good.
Y/N: So, when do I start?
Max: Now, if you want. I was asked by Mr. Thompson and Mr. Stark to go back to Midtown. Me and Anya were going to look into that fire.
