The next morning, Heather woke up to see JD with his head under a pillow. It was stormy and she didn't like being alone but she didn't want to wake him up. She quickly crept out of bed and got dressed before leaving his room. Once she got to the main area by the kitchen, she looked out the window to see pouring rain. Every so often she'd hear a boom of thunder followed by a flash of lightning. She eventually tore herself from the window and shut the curtains. It was only 8 am and she knew JD wouldn't be up for a while. She decided to change into real clothes and make breakfast. Around 9, she heard a grumble from the doorway. Heather turned around to see JD standing there. His hair was wet, meaning he probably took a shower. He just had on another pair of black jeans. JD kissed her cheek and hugged her. "Mhm, it smells great, darling." Heather mumbled a thanks and was focused on the pancakes she was making. While the pancakes cooked, Heather cleaned up the kitchen while JD sat half-asleep at the table. "Jason," he looked up. "Yes, my love?" "You know you can go back to bed." She looked at him and he ran his fingers through his wavy brown hair. "I do know that, darling. But I'd much rather spend time with you~" Heather walked over and pulled him up. "Bed, now." JD laughed. "You're not my mom. I mean, dad thinks you sorta look like her but I don't see it. He's just lonely." Heather pushed him into his room. "Go to bed, Jason. I'll wake you up when breakfast is ready." He sighed and hugged her. "Fine. Only for you, though." JD climbed into bed and quickly dozed off.

Heather resumed her cooking. Once she had made a stack of pancakes, a plate full of bacon, and some eggs, she cleaned up the remaining mess. Once she had set the table and watered her plants, she entered JD's room. Once again, his face was shoved under a pillow. Heather climbed into bed next to him and hugged him from behind. "Wake up, Jason Dean." She lightly shook him and he grumbled. She tried again. "Jasonnnnn. Wake uppppp." This time, JD turned to face her and pulled her closer. "Shhhhh, Heather. Cuddles. I want cuddles." She hugged him. "Well you can get cuddles after you eat. I made your favorite." She heard him groan and pull himself out of bed before picking up Heather. "Jason, I can walk y'know." He kissed her neck and smirked. "I know you can. I just don't think my little princess should have to walk~" Heather turned scarlet red and didn't respond.

JD set her down at the table and sat down in the seat across from her. He immediately started eating and Heather was drawing on her hand with a pen. JD looked at her. "Aren't you going to eat?" Heather met his eyes and shook her head. "Why not?" Heather mumbled, "Because mom said I need to lose weight..." JD put down his fork and opened his arms. "Come here." Heather stood up and sat in his lap, his arms instantly wrapping around her. "Listen, Heather, you don't need to lose weight. You're perfect just the way you are. I want you to know that. You need to stop just bottling that up because it makes it worse. I promise, I know. Now c'mon, have a pancake." JD grabbed another plate and slid a pancake on it before sticking a fork in the pancake and handing it to Heather. "When's the last time you ate a real meal? I mean a full meal. Not a few crackers." Heather shrugged. JD sighed and hugged her waist. Heather set down her plate and JD handed it to her again. "Darling, you need to eat." Heather stared at the ground and slowly lifted her fork and ate a bite. JD kissed her forehead. "See? It's easier than you think." Heather sadly nodded and JD frowned. "What's wrong?" Heather shook her head and said "Nothings wrong."
