"Guys we need backup over here" I hear Natasha yell "what is going on over there?" I ask, I look to see the girl who tried to brainwash us fighting by Steve's side "Steve" I yell while lighting my hands in fire "she's with us" Steve says "she tried to kill us" I say turning around and fighting the robots created by Ultron "well so did you" Steve says "for like 5 minutes and entirely because of her" I say angrily glancing back at them "I thought Ultron meant well" the girl says "I am Wanda" she says and I take a deep breath
"You're not one to judge people Alexa, don't start now" Steve says "and the quick guy?" I ask looking around only to be pulled away by someone "I am Pietro" he replies, I look up into his blue eyes "and you're cute" I say impressed "less flirting more robot ass kicking" Tony says "right" I say turning away from them and fighting the robots. All the avengers reunite together fighting Ultron "okay I think I have an idea" I say "Vision, you're made from a stone and JARVIS correct?" I say, breathless from fighting "that is correct" he replies
"That makes you and Ultron literally compatible, you're the only one who can destroy him. Ultron completely destroyed Jarvis by overtaking it, maybe you can do the same to him. You being in real form, that gives you more strength than him" I suggest while bursting into flames "actually that's a great idea" Tony says impressed "it's the only way" I say just as someone slices something through my belly, I look down my vision going blurry "S-Steve" I croak out before everything goes dark
I wake up gasping for air, looking around at everyone's surprised faces "did I die?" I ask "um yeah" Steve says looking at me with red swollen eyes "I told you I can't die" I say "this is why the called you the Phoenix" Clint says "yeah I can use fire at will, when I die I burn into flames and raise from my ashes. Or whatever the hell is left from me anyways" I say "I never seen you do that" Steve says "I say that was impressive" Pietro says and I smile as I feel the plane land "wait did we win?" I ask
"We did" Rhodes replies "not thanks to you" Sam jokes "oh what your little wings weren't enough help?" I joke and Sam laughs, we all get out and I instantly run to find Loki "Loki you reckless god where the hell are you" I call, I walk into the living room "no don't" I hear Loki say from behind me, my eyes widen and my heart falls as I see Bucky and a girl cuddled up in the couch while kissing "we're back" Sam says, Bucky turns to look at us surprised "who's this?" Steve asks "this is um Sarah" Bucky replies, I smile "look at this old man finally getting some" I joke and the girl blushes
I walk forward while putting my hand out "nice to meet you Sarah, I'm Alex. James' best friend" I say, Sarah takes my hand and smiles "I have heard so much about you" she says "well I am glad, are you staying the night?" I ask "I guess I am" she says and I smile "well James looks like you pretty blue eyes are still working" I joke and Bucky laughs, I smile again "well I have to go and get um changed" I say before walking away, Steve follows me into my room "Alexa" Steve says "yeah?" I ask "I found this after you passed out" Steve says handing me two key necklaces
"James made me this when we were in Hydra" I say while tears begin to cloud my eyes, i turn it around to see my initials on the back "I found it in a chest filled with things" He says "Why did Bucky made you that key?" Steve asks "It was to help us remember" I say "Every time there was a simple sign of anything, even eye contact between James and I, they would zap us right back to robot mode" I say "And this key, it brought us back" I say "You guys got pretty close during the time at Hydra huh" Steve says
"I guess, we only had each other" I say staring at the key "well it makes me a little more relieved knowing you both weren't alone" Steve says and I smile "and now Bucky has a girlfriend" Steve says surprised "a girlfriend" I say with a laugh "well I haven't seen James with a real girlfriend since before he became a soldier. You remember her? Dolores?" I ask with a laugh "he called her doll" Steve says laughing along with me "and then he called a lot of girls doll" Steve says and I laugh " oh it is a romantic name to call a girl" I say mocking Bucky making Steve laugh
"Well I'm happy for him" I say with a small smile, even though it hurt seeing him with her, I am happy for him "listen I'm going to shower, meet you in at dinner?" I ask and Steve nods before walking out. I rest my head in my hands and sigh trying to keep the tears from falling "you missed your chance" Loki says, I look up at him still holding back tears "what is that?" He asks referring to the keys in my hand "James made me these" I say "when we were in hydra, it kept us sane" I say "are you going to give it to him?" Loki asks
I sigh before hanging it on my bed frame "no, he's got this good thing going with this girl" I say " wouldn't want to ruin that. I meant it when I said I wanted nothing serious with anyone" I say drying my eyes "so that's just how it's going to have to be" I say
