"Hydra?" Sarah asks confused "I gotta go" I say walking away, Steve grabs my arm "you're not going up against hydra alone. We need a plan" Steve says "the plan is to get James back" I say "and I'm the only one who can do that" I say "you're not going alone Alex" Sam says "you two don't understand how much trouble he's in do you?" I ask "trouble?" Sarah asks "yes Sarah trouble. Listen to me Steve, I know every bunker and hidden labs hydra has" I say "you can't go alone" Steve says "I am not leaving James with them for any longer. Steve he is my best friend" I say with tears in my eyes
"He is mine too Alexandra, I'm not leaving him either but it will do us no good Hydra having the both of you" Steve says "then take the girl home and call a damn meeting" I say pulling my arm away from Steve before heading back to my room "did you find him?" Loki asks "I know exactly where he is, but I need you to do something for me" I say while getting my suit out "anything" Loki replies "you need to shift into me and act like me, I'm getting a head start on this" I say changing into my suit "you're going after Bucky alone?" Loki asks "I can't just wait until the superheroes are ready, Hydra has him Loki and they're going to torture him all over again" I say
"And if you get caught? That will cause far more damage darling. Believe me I'm all about being impulsive and dangerous, but this plan of yours is just plain idiotic" Loki says and I frown "so you won't help me?" I ask "I'm afraid I have begun to care about you enough to not allow you to put yourself in danger alone" Loki says and I roll my eyes "I'm getting to James one way or another" I say while walking out "unfortunately it won't be without backup" Sam says suited up "Sammy?" I ask confused "Steve is waiting for us in the quinjet ready to go" Sam says and I nod following him out
"How did you even get him to agree" I ask "I didn't have to, Steve knows you would have gone alone regardless" Sam says and I nod, we walk up into the quinjet and I sit behind Steve "where to?" Steve asks "New Orleans" I say "what?" Steve asks "yes I know, it does sound like Hydra but that was the whole point" I say, without another word Steve nods and we lift of

"So are we just going to walk about New Orleans in suits?" Sam asks confused "it's there" I say pointing at a record player shop "just do as I say okay?" I say and they both nod I create fire chains with my powers and cuff them up "what the hell?" Steve asks "stay quiet" I say while we walk into the shop "freedom is great isn't it?" The man at the till says and I look at him "yes but having a leader to guide us is much better" I reply in a robotic tone, the mans gives me a creepy smile "the Phoenix has returned" he says and I give him a short nod "we knew you would return" the man says while leading us toward the back of his shop, he presses a record and a staircase appears behind a shelf
"Hail Hydra" the man says "Hail Hydra" I reply in the same robotic tone, I walk down the stairs "Alexa" Steve whispers, I hear Bucky screams coming from deeper inside the bunker. I make the fire chains disappear and set of running in his direction with Sam and Steve close behind me "how long did you think you could run for?" Another man asks, I recognise this man from his experiments on me the day I came out the ice for the first time "oh what do we have here" he says seeing me "Dr Richards" I say "I knew you would come and you brought guests" he says "who is he?" Steve asks "he got me out of the ice the first time" I say my eyes falling upon Bucky who is tied to a chair and had just been electrocuted
"You, you shouldn't have ... come" Bucky says and I shake my head before blasting Dr Richards "if you thought you could take him and walk away alive you were very wrong" I say feeling my body burst into flames "you had so much potential to be the greatest weapon alive" dr Richards says and I walk over to him "I am the greatest weapon alive Doctor, I am far better than I ever was with you" I say "your love for this man will only bring you down" he says and I laugh "you are weak when by his side" he says as I pick him up by the collar "I am not weak nor will I ever be because of a man doctor, I am the greatest and most powerful woman around I do not need a man to make me feel powerful" I say
"But you, oh your poor poor man. You needed an army, you needed malice, you needed your stupid experiments to feel like a man" I say with a laugh "you have no control over us anymore" I say setting him on fire slowly listening to his agonising screams of pain, I smile as the life drains from his eyes "Alexa" Steve says concerned from behind me, I put my fire out and walk towards Bucky. Unstrapping him from the chair "hey" I say with a small smile while brushing the hair out of his face, Bucky stares at me for a few seconds before getting up and grabbing me by the neck, he pins me up against the wall and tilts his head
"Not James" I croak out, Steve rips Bucky away from me while Sam checks on me "I'm fine" I say pushing him away before running to Bucky "how do you turn this off and James back on?" Sam asks as the three of us begin to fight Bucky "I have an idea" I say "Steve's not gonna like it" I say "anything is better than him trying to kill us" Sam says "oh I can do this all day" Steve says and I roll my eyes "you still use that?" I ask just as Bucky punches me causing me to stumble back "damn it James" I say running over to him and grabbing his face "you have to remember" I whisper before pulling his face towards mine and kissing him
Bucky tried to push me off at first before giving in, he pulls away looking into my eyes surprised "I'm sorry, it was the only way I thought would bring you back" I say "kissing him?" Steve asks "it worked" Sam says "you understood the key" Bucky says and I punch his arm playfully " of course I understood it" I say with a shrug while stepping away from him "can you not mention that to Sarah? I really like her and she would just get crazy, she already thinks there's something going on" Bucky says "that's crazy that she would even think that" I say acting disgusted "then why did the kiss work?" Sam asks "only thing Hydra did think of was that sort of connection between us" I say with a shrug
"We had something else but that's lost" Bucky says and I glance over at Steve "yeah it's lost" I say as we head out "Sarah will be happy to see you back home" I say "I'll be happy to be back home. Tell me how did you find me this fast" Bucky asks "this is where they tortured Me" I reply "you know this was only the start right?" Bucky says and I sigh "they know you're awake now, they're going to keep coming after you" Bucky says and I nod "and we will keep protecting you" Steve says and I look over at him "let's just go home" I say
