After arriving at the Hydra base the avengers and I are discussing our plan "I say send me in" I say "no" Bucky says "absolutely not" Steve says and I frown "the last they saw me I was captured, they don't know I'm me" I say "other than the fact that Dr Richards and Rumlow were burnt alive with the rest of that compound?" Tony asks "let me do this" I say "no" Steve says "it's just hydra" I complain "the same people who figured out a way to control you without remorse" Natasha says "I'll do it" Bucky says "nope" I say crossing my arms "why?" He asks "because of the same reason James, they got into your head way too easily" I say "you got into his head" Clint says "what?" I ask "he never told you?" Bruce asks
"I did that to you?" I ask "yes" Bucky replies "and you didn't tell me? Are you fucking serious?" I ask "language" Steve says and I turn to him "not the fucking time to tell me to watch my damn language Steve" I say annoyed "we go in together" Tony says changing subject "fine" I say and we all agree, we wait for Bruce to turn into Hulk and walk towards the hydra base together "we will deal with this later" I say to Bucky before catching on fire and walking away "darling?" Loki asks approaching me "I need to fire up as much idiots as I physically can" I say to Loki who tilts his head slightly but nods "I will guide to you" Loki says "good" I say as we watch a bunch of men leaving the hydra base and running towards us
"Come on" I say to myself while running towards them and setting them on fire. Flipping, jumping, punching and kicking anyone and everyone who comes my way watching them burn "she's really mad" I hear Steve say to Bucky "I've only ever seen her kill that way when-" Bucky begins to say "when they took Marie" I reply to Bucky "don't mention her name" I warn him, someone runs past us knocking me down on the floor before inserting a knife into my stomach causing me to groan. I look up slightly recognising the green eyes staring back at me, the green eyes that look just like mine. I reach up grabbing her mask and ripping it off
"M-Marie" I croak out my eyes clouding with tears, she looks at me confused. I know that look, I've shared that look and so has Bucky. I watch as someone grabs her and pulls her away as someone helps me up from the floor, the noise around me becomes muffled as as I stare at my now fully grown daughter who I spent years believing was dead "Let her go Clint!" I yell watching Clint pull her away "what?" Clint asks confused, I look to my side to see Steve who is equally as shocked as I am "let her go" Steve repeats, i look down at my fresh wound but fight through it as I make my way towards Marie "I need Wanda" I say to Steve who nods before running away. Clint let's go of Marie who instantly charges towards me with intent to kill
"Marie Louise Rogers" I say, she closes her eyes for a second before opening them again still running towards me. I grab her shoulders and look into her eyes "come on baby you need to fight through this" I beg "You have to" I whisper, her eyes flash red as she tilts her head. She seems to have the same powers as Wanda does, that is confirmed when she sends me flying into the air hitting against a tree "don't" I yell at Clint who's pointing his crossbow at her "let her" I say as she wraps her hands around my throat "Y-you were just a baby when they took you" I croak out "you need to wake up" I say, Marie stares at me confused trying to make sense of my words remaining quiet
"It's me, it's your mum" I cry not believing that she is standing right in front of me "M-mummy?" She croaks out still confused, frowning while trying to find me in her brainwashed mind "it's me baby" I say, she lets go of my neck but remains staring at me, tears beginning to cloud her eyes "why did you leave me" she whispers "i would never leave you" I say tucking her hair behind her ear before cupping her face with my hands "oh you're so beautiful and grown" I say beginning to cry as I pull her into a hug "oh my darling" I whisper stroking her hair "they told me you left me there" Marie whispers "you are the most important thing in my life Marie, I would never have left you with those people" I whisper "they did the same to me" I say still holding her close "I'm so sorry I hurt you" Marie says pulling away "no no, I'll be okay" i say
"It doesn't hurt" I reassure her, within seconds I watch as shots are fired from behind me. Marie looks at me gasping slightly "no no no" I say as I catch her and fall to my knees "no I'm not losing you again" cry looking at her wounds "mommy, I-it's okay" she whispers "I-I'm glad .. I ... got to ... see you again... one .. last time" Marie croaks out tears escaping her eyes "I love you Marie" I whisper "I do too mom" she whispers, I watch as the life drain out of her eyes. I watch my daughter die for the second time. A painful scream erupts from inside of me setting every hydra soldier on fire. I hold Marie close to me while rocking back and forth sobbing "Gen" I hear Bucky say, in that moment my anger for him disappears I need him right now more than ever before
I get up to my feet carrying my dead daughter in my arms "let me" Bucky says, I glance at him shaking my head slowly before heading back to the quintet feeling as if my world has been crushed once again
