"Thank you, all of you for coming and for joining us on this day. Honestly I have to say that this can go to shit but it won't" I say "I'm not good at this pep talk thing, not like my brother is but. We are here today to make sure that we do better for those who are not joining us here today, we owe it to them to make sure that we don't screw this shit up again" I say "You know, you took the words right out of my mouth sister" Steve jokes "But she's right, the last time we were here together we lost way too much" Steve says glancing over at me and Clint "We lost our families and half our team. We have the opportunity to fix it and to make it right by them" Steve says
We are all stood in a circle in the quantum time travel machine "Carol and Nebula are staying here ensuring that we do not get any last minute attacks. Rocket and Thor are going to Asgard. Steve, Scott, Bruce and Tony you'll take New York during Loki's attack. Natasha, Clint and I we're going back to Brooklyn" I say "Anyone got a problem with their groups?" I ask "Where's Vision?" Clint asks "He is preparing for his own extraction so he's not part of our mission" I say "Are we ready?" I ask feeling my heart pounding against my chest "One" I say "Two" Steve says "Three" We say in unison, all of us pressing our Pym particles and setting off into our own timelines
"Holy shit" I yell excited seconds before growing again "This is what it looked like?" Natasha whispers, I pull them closer to a wall and sneak a look at all the HYDRA soldiers walking around "Yeah. You need to know, this isn't pretty" I say to them, they nod clearly knowing how difficult this will be for all of us. We manage to sneak in past the guards "This is where they kept you?" Clint whispers as he looks around at the cages filled with people. My eyes stop in a certain cage, my heart drops and tears fill my eyes but I can't seem to help or hold back the smile that forms across my lips as I see Bucky looking around worried, his blue eyes so bright compared to the darkness of this place. God I miss those blue eyes "Yeah" I say
"Is that?" Natasha begin to say "That's him" I whisper "He looks so" Clint says "Calm?" I ask "Sweet" Natasha replies for him "Yeah he is, he's always been" I begin to say "LET ME GO YOU SLIMY DISGUSTING SON OF A BITCH" I hear my own voice yell "Oh wow" Clint says "I AM GOING TO RIP YOU INTO PIECES WHILE YOU'RE ALL STILL ALIVE" Past me yells while struggling to fight back the two huge HYDRA soldiers who were dragging me out of the room "Come on" I say following behind my past screaming self "You didn't shut up until they tortured you?" Clint asks "I think they tortured me to shut me up" I say with a small laugh
We knock out three HYDRA men and steal their uniforms, we follow the men who took me into the room and enter the door beside it. I remember seeing the red skull going into there before they took me into the other room "Good you are here" He says to us, we stand beside him and watch as they strap me into a chair before torturing me slowly. Sliding their knifes down my now almost naked body, electrocuting and injecting things into me. I look away for a seconds remembering very vividly how all of that felt as my screams and cries echoed in the room. The Red Skull sets a case on the table "Guard that with your lives" He says we nod slowly
"Hail Hydra" I say lifting both my arms, Natasha and Clint follow my lead. The red skull smiles before walking out, I open the case to see the stones "We gotta go" I say quickly "Are we just going to leave you there?" Natasha asks her voice breaking slightly "We have to, I became me because of what happened in that room" I say "Was that not it?" Clint asks "It's never just that when it comes to women is it" I say sadly "We have to go now" I say, they nod and follow my lead as I click my Pym particle that sends us all back home
One by one we all snap back holding the stones we were all responsible for "Is that HYDRA uniform?" Steve asks as I set the case down and begin to take it off before walking out heading straight to Bucky's room. I literally rip it from my body before throwing a single punch onto the wardrobe in front of me before breaking down, seeing him and everything else that happened that day broke me. That was the day they kills Marie in front of me, it was the day they took advantage of me every way possible, it was the day they began torturing me, the day the experiments began.
"Hey" I hear Steve's voice coming from the door, I look up at him "You shouldn't have gone there" Steve asks "I was the only one who could" I say "I saw him, I saw the James we grew up with. Even in those times, he always made me smile you know. His eyes would brighten up the entire place" I say "I miss him too" Steve says "I just, I need him back" I say "I think, You can find someone else too" Steve says "Something happened, we lost the tesseract to begin with. Loki got it and he disappeared with it" Steve says "Are you telling me that he's out somewhere out there?" I ask tears escaping my eyes "I think, that's something else you can definitely hold on to. We need you to have hope" Steve says
"You still don't know what happened to me that day" I say "I don't" Steve says "They made James watch as they took advantage of me, they killed Marie in front of me" I say looking into his sad eyes "They began the experiments that day, every experiment possible. It was also the day they sterilised me so that whatever they did to me didn't have an outcome to them" I say "I-I didn't know" Steve says "I never wanted you to know, what happened in that room that day. It made me who I am today" I say
"So I don't think it matter as much as I thought it would" I say "I'm sorry that you had to suffer so much before I managed to get there" Steve says "I didn't want you to know because I knew this would have the same result as when you found out about Nicholas. It's just something that you couldn't solve Steve, and that's okay" I say smiling "You're my brother and that's enough for me" I say smiling "And now we have something more important to face" I say "We have to start the experiments" Steve says and I nod
