It's been two weeks since we've been in this cell "So seriously she was fine for the month I was gone?" I ask confused "yes she was super sweet, it's like you got here and boom she became this psycho jealous girl" Bucky says and I laugh "well apparently I am a threat" I say still laughing "maybe it's because I'm hot" I joke while setting my hand on fire "you're such a dork" Bucky says while laughing "And you didn't find it a little weird that she had my mums name?" I ask "you know I tried not to think about that" Bucky says "but I did all the time" Bucky says laughing making me laugh "you're not this open when the other avengers are around" I say
"That's because I've only ever been myself with you and Steve" Bucky says with a shrug while walking over and sitting on the floor in front of me "things are different when I'm with you, it's comfortable and I know that no matter what I do you won't ever judge me. I guess that is why Loki likes to be around you too" Bucky says "that is correct" I hear Loki say from behind us, I look back and smile "Loki you're back" I say happily "I came with some very trusted instructions" Loki says "they say it's been long enough" Loki says and I look at him confused "they sent you, God of Mischief to let us out?" I ask with a small laugh "right I cannot fool you" Loki says and I shake my head "but how about some company?" Loki asks sitting on the floor on the other side of the glass making me smile "Pietro has seemed to have, moved on from your charm" Loki says and I frown
"There was never anything to move on from" I say with a shrug "you and Pietro?" Bucky asks stiffening up slightly "yeah, once" I say "you haven't changed one bit" Bucky says covering up with jealousy with a laugh "I have not" I say with a laugh "What is our plans for when you come out?" Loki asks "I told Steve I wouldn't be an avenger anymore" I say, Bucky looks at me shocked "you love being an avenger" Bucky says and I shrug "I thought that my mind was stronger than it is, I was gone for two months and I don't remember a think. It was never like this before, I remember every victim and every village I burnt" I say "this time you have some sort of weakness which in your case would have been your very own strength, they must have found a way to wipe that out of your mind" Loki says and I shrug "what weakness?" Bucky asks, I turn to him for a quick second "Steve is here now" I say quickly, way too quickly "there's Steve, you, Loki, the avengers. When you weren't you and I wasn't me it was harder to be sane, we were all each other had" I say softly
"I believe they must have tried to wipe your mind in order to get you to comply" Loki says "that sounds right actually, Rumlow was there" I say to Loki "the man from the files?" Loki asks and I nod "who is he?" Bucky asks "he was an agent with SHIELD, he and some other people who supported Hydra infiltrated SHIELD some years ago and brought it down. I was in the ice and you were still the Winter Soldier" I say "seems like a big deal" Bucky says and I nod "yeah it was, the avengers were founded by shield" I say "how do you even know all of this?" Bucky asks "she found her way into my system and read all of my files" Tony says walking in "I was bored" I say with a shrug
"I'm letting you two out come on" Tony says and I frown "why?" I ask surprised "oh would you rather stay there?" Tony asks "no" Bucky and I say in unison while jumping to our feet, Loki stands up slowly with a smirk "this is not one of your illusions is it?" I ask "you think so low of me" Loki says "that's because I know you" I say with a laugh, Loki laughs and shrugs "no I'm not his puppet" Tony says clearly disgusted by the thought, the door opens and we step out "you two should get cleaned up and join us for dinner" Tony says and we nod

I walk out of my room and meet everyone else at the dining room "it's good to see you two out of the cell" Steve says and I smile "it's good to be out" I reply "so are we sure we can trust you?" Natasha asks "always so paranoid Nat" I say "sometimes you have to be" she says "well, I don't think anyone can ever trust anyone 100% am I wrong?" I ask "not at all" Clint says "so Clint, how's the kids?" I ask "they're fine" Clint replies "listen I am sorry about everything that happened, I never thought they had any control over me anymore" I say "things happen" Wanda reassures me and I nod "where is Pietro?" I ask looking around the table
"I told he had moved on" Loki says and I frown "Hydra killed him" Wanda says with tears in her eyes, my own eyes widen "W-was it me?" I ask "we had other missions while you were gone, this one had nothing to do with you" Tony says and I nod "I'm sorry Wanda" I say and she gives me a short nod "and Thor, Bruce?" I ask noticing their absence "they had business in Asgard, Thor took Bruce as backup" Sam says and I nod "it's been a long 2 months hasn't it?" I ask and they nod "things weren't the same with you on their side" Natasha says "this time it was different wasn't it" Steve asks and I nod "this time I blacked out, I have no idea about what happened" I say "they blocked out anything that could get you out" Natasha says and I nod
"But we have you back now, both of you. I see that as a win" Rhodes says and I shake my head "I'm not gonna be part of the avengers anymore" I admit "what?" They all day in unison "Dr Richards and Rumlow, warned us. There's something much bigger coming and it's because of me" I say "I doubt that it's true" Natasha says "they may be manipulative but they don't lie" Bucky says and I glance over at him "they said that I'll be the end of all of you, I'll be the end of this world" I say "that's not going to happen" Steve says and I shrug "things are different now, Hydra is smarter than it's ever been. They have a new way to control me, a way they didn't have before" I say
"You're afraid they'll use you against us again" Sam says and I nod "they won't have the chance to" Steve says "they won't get to us again" Bucky says while holding my hand, I look at it for a few seconds until Steve clears his throat "I think I'm going to head to bed" I say, everybody nods as I walk away directly outside breathing heavily "Gen?" Bucky asks from behind me, I turn around, without thinking I walk over to Bucky and kiss him. For my surprise he instantly kisses me back
