Chapter 42

"And she will sing to you, she is really great at that" I hear Bucky say softly, I groan and open my eyes slowly trying to focus in this overly bright room. I look down to see that I have different clothes on and the pain on my abdomen grows every second I'm awake "you're awake" Bucky says sounding relieved, I look at him and see a baby in his arms. I see our baby "oh" I say softly, Bucky waits for me to sit up before handing me our baby girl "we still haven't chosen a name" Bucky says and I stare into her beautiful blueish green eyes "so she got both out eyes huh" I say softly staring at my beautiful baby girl, my heart is filled with love and passion for this little human who I have just met "I think" Bucky says "why don't we um" he continues to say nervously "why don't we name her Marie?" Bucky suggests

"I um" I say with my eyes filling with tears "I think it's beautiful" I say "but?" Bucky asks "is it too painful?" He asks and I nod slowly "how about Kiara?" I hear Steve ask, I look at him for a brief moment before looking down at my baby girl and with a smile I nod "she's a Kiara" I whisper "hi Kiara" I whisper and she blinks slowly "it's me, mommy" I whisper "you look just like your dad with all of that hair, yes you do" I say in a baby voice "which you need to cut by the way" I say "are you trying to use our newborn baby as a way for me to cut my hair?" Bucky asks "yes" I joke "fine, Steve watch her" Bucky says before leaving, my eyes widen "is he serious?" I ask confused "come one let me help you to your room" Steve says and I nod, Steve takes Kiara from me and I get up slowly while placing my hand on Steve's arm to give me some assistance

"If you want to go have a shower, I can watch her" Steve says and I smile "that would be great" I say and he smiles before sitting on my bed with Kiara. I have a quick shower and change into some tracksuit before heading back into my room where Steve was rocking a crying Kiara "why is she crying?" I panic while instantly taking her from him and rocking her slowly "she might be hungry" Steve says also confused, I sit in bed and take my hoodie off leaving me in a sports bra. I begin to breast feed her which instantly stops her crying "that what all it was wasn't it my pretty girl? You were just hungry" I whisper ask she lets go, I put my hoodie back on before resting her on my chest and shoulder and tap her back softly "you remember being a mom?" Steve asks "every second of it" I say "I was so excited to see her" I say happily before laying her back on my arms and rocking her slowly

"I have died everyday waiting for you" I sing "darling don't me afraid. I have loved you for a thousand year. I'll love you for a thousand more" I continue to sing and watch as she falls asleep, I lay her down on her bassinet and continue to watch her sleeping peacefully "I lost my first child, I will never let anyone ever hurt you" I whisper "I will protect you until my last day on this earth" I say "you're a great mom" Steve says and I smile before returning to the bed "I miss being pregnant already" I say rubbing my belly, seconds before Bucky walks into the room. My eyes widen and my jaw drops "no way" I say while clapping my hand over my mouth "woah" Steve says surprised "you really did it" Steve laughs and Bucky rolls his eyes "I hate it" he complains "you look so good" I compliment, Bucky joins me on the bed and Steve smiles

"I'm going to head out, call me if you need anything at all" Steve says and leaves "we have a daughter" Bucky says with a smile "we do" I reply "she's everything I imagined and more" I say "she's beautiful just like you" Bucky says tucking a strand of hair behind my ear "well her eyes are as beautiful as yours" I reply "when did we get so cheesy?" He asks "about 9 months ago" I joke, Bucky leans in and kisses me softly "I couldn't have imagine anyone better to share these moments with" he whispers "neither could I" I reply
