The family that had been lively all morning was now silent at the dinner table.

The table was filled with burnt dishes.

This was to be expected: When Mother Manoban left the kitchen she brought her spatula with her, then she later fainted, causing the cooking food to go unchecked.

After eating a truly unforgettable breakfast, Father Manoban went out to his motorcycle to drive to the market and buy food for their New Year's dinner.

"Uncle, where are you headed? Let me drive you." Jungkook was uneasy when he saw Father pushing a motorcycle out without a helmet in sight.

"No need, I'm going to go to the market to buy some food. It's quite close." Father refused.

"Let me accompany you. My car can hold more food, it'll be much more convenient." Jungkook continued to persuade him.

"The country roads are narrow, your car won't be able to drive through." Father eventually told him the truth.

"Oh." Suddenly things became awkward.

As Father climbed on his motorcycle, he looked back at Jungkook and asked: "Your aunt asked if you had any favorite dishes."

"Ah?" Jungkook froze for a moment then hurried to answer, flowers blooming in the background. "I...I like to eat fish."

"Alright." Father started the bike then quickly disappeared into the country trail.

Jungkook looked at the retreating figure, his handsome face sporting a warm smile.

"What's with that silly smile?" Hobi suddenly appeared behind Jungkook.

"Nothing." Jungkook replied.

"Hey, lend me your car, I want to go shopping in the city." As the brother-in-law, Hoseok didn't bother trying to be polite to the future son-in-law.

Without any hesitation, Jungkook took out his keys and gave it to him.

"Thanks!" Grabbing the offered keys, he went to the car and left.

When Mother heard the car drive off, she came out with a rag still in her hands. When she saw Jungkook still in the yard, she immediately knew who was drove the car away. "His driving is abysmal, you should've been more cautious when you lent it to him."

"It's alright, the car's insured." Jungkook felt that he was being idle, so he asked: "Auntie, it there anything I can do?"

"Then go with Lali and paste some couplets." Mother thought for a while, then eventually said.

"Great!" Junhkook smiled and walked back into the house happily. After getting Lisa , the two began to paste couplets around the house.

Every courtyard in the village was open during this time, and neighbors often vist as they pass by. But the number of people going through was a bit more than usual.

An auntie came to take a look with squinted eyes, a child laughed as he ran by, and a little girl blushed as she peeked through their door.

Lisa pondered all this then turned towards Jungkook: "Did you happen to meet anyone in the yard this morning?"

"I met an auntie, and we talked a little." Jungkook replied.

"What did you say?" Lalisa asked.

"I didn't say anything, I just said I'm your boyfriend." Jungkook was a little puzzled. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. It's just that everyone in the village want's to see you now." Lisa sighed.

"Me?" Jungkook stuck the last red scroll and was turning to ask Lisa more questions when he noticed the several pairs of curious eyes.
