Jungkook's awkwardness wasn't resolved until Lisa appeared with a dish in her hands.

When the food was all placed down, everyone gravitated towards the dinner table.

"As soon as mom heard that you were coming back, half of the planned dishes turned into your favorites." Hoseok pointed to a few dishes.

"The other half is food you hate eating." Mother Manoban gave her son a dirty look.

"Thank you, mom!" It had been a long time since Lisa tasted her mother's cooking. She had wanted to eat them in her previous life, but back then she was always getting lectured during dinner, so she never had the appetite.

Father Manoban had a slight addiction to alcohol. Every time dinner was served, he would always open a small bottle of wine and drink two mouthfuls. Today was no exception. Just as he placed a bottle on the table, it was taken away.

When Father Manoban looked up, he saw Jungkook's pleasant smile: "Uncle, let me pour you some."

After serving Father Manoban, Jungkook placed the bottle down. Noticing this, Father Manoban silently looked at Jungkook's empty glass.

Jungkook followed Father Manoban's gaze to his glass and was somewhat embarrassed as he said: "Uncle, I don't drink much."

"okay." Father Manoban didn't insist as he picked his own glass and took a healthy swig.

Jungkook heard the cold hum and was immediately worried, was father-in-law unsatisfied with him?

After a few seconds of hesitation, Jungkook picked up the bottle of wine and poured himself a glass. Standing up, he said: "Uncle, I'd like to pay my respects."

Father Manoban's eyes showed reluctance as Jungkook downed his whole glass in one go.

With more than 40% alcohol, although it was a small cup, the strong and spicy taste twisted Jungkook's face. As embarrassed as he was, he desperately tried not to lose face as he stuffed himself with vegetables.

Although Lisa didn't know the alcohol content of the wine, she knew doctors don't often drink, so she knew Jungkook wasn't feeling well.

So she hurriedly scooped half a bowl of white bone soup and handed it to him.

Jungkook gratefully accepted the bowl and drank two mouthfuls in a hurry.

"Lali, it looks like your boyfriend can't drink." Watching the entire spectacle, Hoseok couldn't help but gloat.

"Jungkook is a surgeon, he usually doesn't drink." Lisa explained.

"A Surgeon? the one with a scalpel?" Hosoek was surprised.

Father Manoban and Mother Manoban looked at each other; the job seems OK.

"You don't need to drink." Father Manoban said this when he saw Jungkook's red face. However, when he finished, Father MNoban secretly thought that men who can't drink really can't be considered men.

Jungkook naturally heard Father Manoban's unspoken words. This was Jungkook's first time meeting father-in-law, how can he not meet his expectations? He picked up the wine bottle and refilled Father Manoban's cup. "Uncle, although I don't usually drink, I can at least accompany you for two cups. I won't get drunk."

At Father Manoban's raised eyebrow, Jungkook filled his glass with an aching heart; his liver already felt busted.

So after two cups, the seemingly invincible Jungkook was directly facedown on the dinner table.
