"Clarkson Lim!"

He immediately sprung up from his bed after his mom called him.

"I'm awake. I'm awake."

"Why?"

He clenched his teeth in front of his mom, who looked like she was about to transform into a titan.

"I've called you several times already; why aren't you responding?"

Her mom is kind, but not when you don't listen to her calls. Clark swallowed his saliva after feeling the tension.

"Your dad called and has something to say to you."

His eyes widened. He was surprised that his dad finally called after two months. He cleared his throat to assert his confidence.

"Hello... Dad?"

A cold silence was heard before his dad spoke.

"Have you been good?"

Clark can't help but smile after hearing his dad's voice.

"I've been good."

"How about you, dad?"

"I'm quite well, son, and I have some news for you, and we'll finally be together."

"What do you mean?"

He asked, unsure of what his dad's words meant.

"You and your mom will be living with me here in South Korea."

He was surprised after hearing his words. He knew that he was working there, but he didn't exactly know why his mom and he were staying in a different country.

"Your mom will tell you the details later."

"I'll talk to you later. Bye."

He returned the phone to his mom and could not digest what his dad said. His mom laughed at his expression. He was frozen to his bed, unable to talk. His mom left him afterward, giving him time to digest everything he heard.

"South Korea?

"I'm not dreaming, right?"

His mind had these two questions on repeat. He can't believe that he's finally able to live there with his dad as an addition.

Two months later...

"Are we good?"

His mom asked her as they entered the taxi that was supposed to drop them off at the airport. Clark checked all his belongings and gave her mom a thumbs up.

"Airport please."

Her mom instructed him. He looked at the buildings outside and began replaying his last bonding experience with his best friend.

"You're going there?"

His best friend shouted. He covered his mouth, preventing him from exposing himself more to the others.

"Can you please lower your voice?"

Clark whispered. He's embarrassed now that he's the center of attention for everyone in the class.

"Sorry."

His friend whispered.

"So is it for good?"

His friend asked. He hesitated before answering, giving his friend a chance to guess what the answer might be.

"So it's a yes, huh?"

Clark subtly nodded.

"You can just visit me here if you're older; that's not a problem."

His friend tapped his shoulder.

"Just take a picture of my favorite idols when you happen to meet them."

Both of them laughed at the statement and continued planning their maintenance of communication when Clark got there.

The flashback ended after they arrived at the airport. His mom nudged him and asked him to get a cart for their luggage.

"Okay, this is not a dream; this is reality."
