Two months later...
Clark and Wonyoung's friendship went on. They started eating lunch together, which surprised all the students. It took only one day for all the students to know that they'd become friends. Most guys were envious of Clark's ability to befriend Wonyoung in just two weeks compared to those who were with her from the first semester. Clark shrugged them off; for him, what's important is that he maintain his friendship with her until she debuts.
It's Saturday, which means there are no classes. Clark is sitting on his chair inside his bedroom. He is reading a book that he randomly chose on his bookshelf. His phone lit up, and the notification ringtone sounded. He figured it was a message and checked it.
"Why did you say so?"
It was a reply from Wonyoung. They already exchanged numbers, which happened one day after they became friends.
FLASHBACK
Clark and Wonyoung are walking side by side as they are going outside the school building.
"Baby giant."
He called. Wonyoung turned towards him and saw him giggling. She raised her brows, judging him for giggling. She then hits him after realizing he called her baby a giant.
"I told you, don't call me that anymore."
She scolded.
"Call you what?"
He shrugged, pretending he didn't know what she was referring to. She glared at him before she continued walking, to which Clark responded with a smile.
After walking for five minutes, they arrived at the front gate.
"Let's wait a minute here."
Wonyoung said before pulling out her phone. Clark watched her from the side and remembered they hadn't exchanged contacts yet.
"Oh right, I forgot."
She looked at him, wondering what he could've forgotten. He hands her his phone, to which she raises an eyebrow, having no idea what he's doing.
"Let's exchange contacts; I forgot to ask you yesterday."
He smiled. She took his phone and typed in her number before returning it to him. After receiving his phone, he immediately dialed the number Wonyoung typed in to make sure it was the right one.
"Really?"
She asked after her phone rang.
"Just making sure, so you can save my number too."
He smiled.
Back to Present
Clark stood up from his chair, went to his closet, and chose a casual outfit before going to his bathroom. He got out all dressed after a minute.
Mom, I'll be home by 5."
Clark said as he went out of his room towards their door.
"I'm on my way."
He texted as he walked towards the elevator.
30 minutes later...
Wonyoung is walking her way toward the place Clark told him to go. Clark asked her to bond with him if she didn't have any practice sessions for today, which happened to be true.
"Is it just the two of us?"
She asked herself. She didn't know why she was nervous and was making a big deal about it. Ever since he saw Clark, she's been feeling differently towards him.
She finally arrived at the park, and there she saw Clark standing near the front gate. She sighs and puts on a confident face before she starts walking towards him.
"You came so early."
She said. Clark turns to his side and smiles after he sees her looking as beautiful as ever in her outfit. He looked at his watch and saw that it was past ten minutes from their call time.
"I wasn't early; you're just late."
He smiled, which later was taken as mockery.
"Okay fine."
She said.
"What are we doing anyway?"
She asked. I have no clue what Clark planned.
"I told you we were going to bond with each other."
He answered.
"We have weekday free hours to bond with."
She reasoned, trying to find a hole in this planned bonding.
"I know, but we can't do this anymore if you have already debuted."
He stated. His statement gave a slight pinch to her heart; she forgot about her debuting as an idol again. Clark nudges her out of her trance and asks,
"Shall we start?"
"Don't worry, it's all on me."
He held her wrist and began running towards the bus stop. Both of them felt a shock after Clark held her wrist; they didn't know what it was, but it felt amazing.
They hopped onto a bus and went to the vacant seat near the back end.
"Where are we going?"
She asked.
"Arcade."
He answered. Her eyes widened and she smiled, which means that she liked it. He also smiled after looking at how happy she was after hearing the word "arcade".
Not long after, they arrived at the place, which, lucky for them, was empty. They started their fun by playing the arcade games, one at a time. They also placed bets on it and punished the loser with a wish or a dare. Clark did his best to lose most of the games without showing any hint of it to Wonyoung. He wanted her to have fun, thinking she might have a lot of things she's stressed about.
After playing games, they went to the photo booth and began taking photos in any pose. They took pictures, which have serious ones and goofy ones on them. After much contentment, they left the place and went to a cafe to feed their starving stomachs.
"Pick one."
He said this after the waitress gave them the menu. She scanned through it, searching for her favorite.
"I'll have this."
She smiled. As expected, she chose mint chocolate milk tea, which is her favorite flavor. Clark went to the counter and ordered the same milk tea flavor with Wonyoung and a slice of cake for each of them.
"They said it'd be ready in 10 minutes."
He said this as he sat down at their table. Wonyoung nodded before she pulled her phone out of her bag. There was a quiet moment between the two before Clark spoke up.
"I wonder..."
"Can we still do this even after you debut in your new group?
