Night came...
Clark was lying on his bed after he finished all of his works and his night routine. He is in deep thoughts debating whether he could risk his friendship to Wonyoung and try to confess or just completely hide it from her until it fades.
"I think I'll just hide it until it goes away."
He said. Before closing his eyes and drifting into a deep sleep. Most people would think that what he had chosen was the best but the thing is that feelings never really fades. It just hides until it feels that it's ready to cause havoc with his emotions.
Next day...
Wonyoung, Yujin and Clark were inside the instrument room to spend their free time after lunch. Clark was playing the piano testing some tunes, Yujin and Wonyoung were scrolling through their SNS accounts.
"Hey I have a question."
Wonyoung suddenly asked, putting a halt to the two other people with her. They all looked at her with raised eyebrows signaling her to continue.
"Besides black and yellow, what other things that goes well together?"
She asked.
"Us!"
Yujin said. It is a common thing for the two girls to say and do cheesy things to each other. Fans would love to see it live like how Clark see it every time they're together. He would also enjoy these kind of things but today is a bit different.
Instead of enjoying the sight of the ship, he felt jealous. Jealous that he can't say the two letter word because he knew that it might cause him their friendship. He forced himself to smile, not letting the other two to notice his jealousy.
The two girls were laughing while Clark was silently suffering. He played the piano, in hopes to get his mind off the thoughts that had been circling for the past minute.
"Woah, you already know how to play that song?"
Wonyoung asked after hearing the melody of their debut song. Clark nodded as response, both girls were impressed by his amazing talent.
"Since when?"
Yujin asked.
"1 week after debut? I think?"
He chuckled.
"Wow, you really are amazing."
Yujin gave him a thumbs up. He continued playing the whole song and left the too girls be amazed by his talent. He kept glancing towards Wonyoung, checking if she's enjoying his little performance.
"You don't know how badly I want to play all the songs I composed ever since I've been a fan."
He thought.
After a couple of minutes, the song ended and Clark received a round of applause from his audience. The two girls who are idols enjoyed how Clark arranged the song according to what he heard in the original song.
"Break time is over."
Clark said after his phone alarm rang. He always sets alarm to make his time more efficient, both Wonyoung and Yujin were surprised when they first knew about this. They left the room and went to their respective classrooms.
The two are currently walking in hallway towards their classroom. Students that they come across with congratulate Wonyoung with her successful debut. While Clark is silently thinking beside her.
"We are nearly one year in our friendship right?"
Clark asked. Wonyoung turns to him whose face is very serious, She wondered why he asked her about it.
"Yeah, why?"
She answered. Anticipating his answer, she listened to him clearly.
"Because there's something I need to tell you and it's bothering me ever since."
He said. She has no clue of what Clark has in mind. Both hearts were beating fast the other is scared to tell the truth while the other has no idea at all.
"What is it?"
She stated. Clark closed his eyes and dragged Wonyoung towards the stairs where there's no people. Wonyoung raised her eyebrows upon arriving there, signaling Clark to tell what he was about it.
"I-I"
He hesitated. But he didn't want to hide from her forever, so he decided to confess to her. Which is why he asked about how long were they friends, thinking if they haven't been friends for a year it wouldn't hurt much.
"I like you. Not as an idol or my friend, but as a woman."
He said. Wonyoung was expecting something serious talk, judging from his expression and the place. But she didn't think that it was this serious.
"Since when?"
She asked. The atmosphere grew cold and heavy.
"Ever since I became a fan and it grew deeper when we became friends."
He said. Her mind doesn't want to believe it, that her best friend has deceived him for his real intentions.
"So you lied about your intention to be friends?"
He saw that her eyes were glistening and small tears are starting to fall from them.
"No I wanted to become your friend, the thing is that I didn't tell you about me liking you not just as my bias."
He explained. She turned around and wiped her tears. For others it might be casual but there are people who hates liars specially when they value the friendship they have for the other person.
"I'm sorry. I tried hiding it, concealing it, thinking that it'll just go away like a wind."
He didn't not hear any response, he was clear that he's already doomed. All he had to do now is to wait for what she says.
"It's fine if you don't want to continue to be friends with me, I don't deserve it anyway after this."
"In my opinion, I would rather tell the truth myself than hide it and others might uncover it for you."
He said. Wonyoung turns around and her eyes were bright red, which meant that she cried really hard. It's just that she didn't give away any sound.
"I'm sorry."
Are the only words that came out from her mouth before she left. She didn't really know what she has to say because all he said made a point. She also knows that he's sincere about everything after seeing a tear also left his eye.
