"It's because you're my best friend; that's why I informed you first."

What Wonyoung said rang inside Clark's head. He was hurt by his own doing. It was his fault to assume that something was going on between them when there wasn't. He got robbed of his happiness, which made him silent.

"Hello Clark? Still there?"

Wonyoung asked after a couple of minutes of Clark not uttering a sound.

"Yeah, yeah."

"I'm still here."

Clark snapped out of his trance.

"By the way, I gotta go shower. See you tomorrow."

She said this before dropping the call. Clark puts his phone on top of the table. He looks weak and lifeless after being friend-zoned by Wonyoung.

"That's fine; it's your fault that you assumed."

He told himself this before going to bed. He covered his body with his sheets and tried to sleep the pain away.

Meanwhile, Wonyoung finished her shower and is now drying her hair. She hovered over her phone, checking for any notifications, but she received none. After drying her hair, she opened her Twitter app to check on someone's timeline. She typed "@/jjangwonyoung" on the search bar and clicked on the user that popped up with the "following" label.

"Hmm, he didn't tweet on this day."

She said. She always waits for the user's tweet every night, as it gives her comfort and the feeling of being loved.

"Maybe he forgot; I'll just wait for tomorrow."

She said this before going inside her sheets. She waited for her sleepiness to affect her by watching YouTube videos. She watched for at least 45 minutes before dozing off.

Last week of class...

The class is still complete, despite being the last week of class. They're dedicated to finishing their studies, unlike some students in Clark's home country.

"Since this week is the last week, the school will be conducting half classes only dedicated to major subjects."

"Enjoy the rest of your day."

Ms. Kang said Everyone shouted; they felt joyful after hearing the good news. Clark, on the other hand, has stilled his mind, thinking of Wonyoung's words about two weeks ago, making him unaware of what's happening in his surroundings. He didn't even notice his best friend, Wonyoung, calling for him for minutes.

"Junwoo!!"

Wonyoung lightly rubbed his shoulders, waking him up from his trance.

"What?"

He turned around to see an angry Wonyoung.

"I've been calling for you ever since Ms. Kang left."

She said her angry face was too cute to pass on.

"Ms. Kang left? Already?"

He was confused. He noticed their classmates leaving their classroom, confusing him even more.

"Did you not pay attention to the announcement earlier?"

She raised her eyebrows with her hands crossed on her chest.

"I—- did not."

Clark grinned while holding his nape.

"We only have our majors as classes for the rest of the week."

"So, if you want, let's go somewhere and have fun."

She said. Clark wanted to have an explanation first, but his mind went blank after seeing her angelic smile, which is one of her features that he likes.

"Sure, your call."

He said. forcing a smile for her not to notice. They left their classroom and are now walking in the hallway. It felt awkward for Clark to walk beside her now that he knew what she felt for him. He's not an asshole who's using the "best friend" card just to score points for his liking.

"Hey, guys!!"

A familiar voice shouted in the distance.

"Unnie!"

Wonyoung shouted back, then ran towards Yujin. Clark jogged towards them, catching up to the two girls.

"Let's bring Unnie!"

Wonyoung said Clark agreed with no objections.

The trio decided to spend their free time having a picnic beside the Han River. sharing stories, telling jokes, entertaining pranks by YouTubers, and other things they can think of.

"I'll go to the restroom; you guys keep talking, okay?"

Wonyoung said this before leaving Yujin and Clark to go to the restroom. Both followed her until they lost sight of her.

"So you like Wonyoung, huh?"

Yujin asked.

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

Clark asked, feigning ignorance. She looked at him and smiled.

"Don't try to hide it, Junwoo-ssi."

Yujin said.

"The way you look at Wonyoung?"

"Tss, don't even get me started."

She added. Clark was dumbfounded; he didn't think that someone would notice his secrecy.

"So do you have intentions of pursuing her?"

Yujin asked again, catching him off guard.

"W-what? N-no noona, n-not anymore."

He stuttered. She smiled and became curious about his response.

"Why so?"

She asked.

"What do you mean?"

He asked.

"I mean, you can't give up without trying, right?"

Yujin said. Her words kind of gave him motivation of some sort.

"I do-"

"What were you guys talking about?"

Wonyoung came out of nowhere, cutting him off.

"Nothing."

He smiled and looked at Yujin, who nodded, agreeing to his answer. They continued bonding until it was time for them to go.

"You guys have dance practice today, right?"

Clark as they walked along the sidewalk. The girls responded with a nod, which means they have dance practice later.

"I can accompany you to your company before I go home."

He suggested.

"I'm okay with that."

Yujin said, which Wonyoung agreed to. Yujin then winked at Clark, who was surprised by her action.

"So, how many sessions do you guys have every day?"

He was curious.

"Usually, 10 to 15; it depends on the time."

Wonyoung answered. Then silence came until they arrived in front of the girls' company building.

"So we are here."

Wonyoung said. It wasn't a fancy building for a company, but it was a good one for a starting company.

"It's quite big for a starting one."

Clark said.

"Yeah, it is."

The girls said

"I better go now; see you guys tomorrow."

Clark said goodbye and waved goodbye to the girls, who did the same thing too. They watched him walk away from them until they could no longer see him.
