"That's pretty childish for an adult on her late twenties."
Clark chuckled when Chaewon splashing the sea water to him.
"Hey!"
Chaewon pointed at him which he must gave a shrug.
They continued walking along on the shallow water now that they have slippers, its even better than letting their shoes get wet.
"You know, it's my first time doing this."
Chaewon said out of the blue.
"What?"
Clark asked, he wasn't able to get what she said.
"It's my first time going to the beach with someone other than the members or my family."
Chaewon smiled.
"Well, I am honored to be you first time."
Clark smiled back.
They walked for few more minutes before finally going back to dryland. Clark took a mat from her car and laid it on the sand for them to sit on.
"You're well prepared for this getaway huh?"
Chaewon commented.
"Well, it's better than being unprepared right?"
Clark replied.
Chaewon nodded agreeing to his reason. They then sat on the mat together, which has an ideal size enough for the both of them to sit on.
"It's too early for the sunset right?"
Chaewon asked.
"Yeah haha, it's currently 4:05 PM and the sun sets at 5:30ish."
Clark said looking at her watch.
"Okay.. then we should waste time."
Chaewon suggested.
"How?"
"By having a good conversation, we all know that time passes by when you're having a good time."
Chaewon said.
"Makes sense, but somehow it sounded like you're pointing something that happened to you."
"Wow, you're that good at reading between the lines but you weren't able to recognize my feelings for you even though I'm transparent about it."
Yet again another rebuttal from Chaewon that hit Clark hard. The atmosphere became quiet after that, Chaewon felt sorry after what she said. She intended it as a joke but it came out as frustrations.
"I'm so—"
"It's fine. I get your frustrations."
Clark smiled.
Chaewon can't help but fall into Clark's beautiful eyes. She looked away for a second, it was too much for her to look at. She might do something stupid especially when they're that close to each other.
"I get you're frustration. We were already transparent with our feelings yet those people we like can't see through us."
"I also admit that I wasn't able to see through you because I was focused on someone who only see me as a friend."
Clark voiced out his frustrations as well.
It was supposed to be a fun getaway but it quickly transitioned into a heart to heart session with each other in broad daylight.
