30 minutes later...
They arrived at the school, and as Mr. Kim said, there wouldn't be any students because the school hadn't started yet. For Clark, it was a good enough reason to check out the school and memorize the area so he wouldn't get lost once classes started.
"Let's go meet the head principal first before you tour yourself around the campus."
Clark nods, agreeing with what Mr. Kim said. They arrived at the principal's office and were welcomed warmly by their appearance. They exchanged good words with each other before sending Clark to tour the campus himself. The latter thanked the two men and left the office to start his tour.
30 minutes into his tour, Clark was walking along the corridors of a building. when he suddenly remembered what the principal said.
"You might come across some of our students performing in one of the dance rooms, if you're lucky."
He stopped walking and saw the words "Dance Rooms" written in Hangul on a sign above. He started walking again, excited about what kinds of performances he might watch.
He's not sure if a dance room is in use or not because rooms of this type are usually soundproofed to prevent noise from bothering on-going classes in the vicinity as well as background music from adjacent rooms from merging into chaos. He went and checked every room and found nothing but a dark room filled with silence. He's now on his way to the last room, and he's given up at this time. He's only checking it to make sure he hasn't missed a room. Standing in front of the door, he hears muffled background music from it.
He breathed heavily before turning the door knob slowly. doing his best to not disturb the student who's currently performing. He peeked into the small gap that he made and was surprised to see the student who was practicing.
"Wonyoung?"
He thought before closing the door slowly and turning his back to the wall adjacent to the door.
"That's her, right? I'm not hallucinating or something?"
He asked himself. He opened the door again to prove himself right, which he is. It was Wonyoung practicing background music he hadn't heard since. He slowly went inside to watch her dance, hoping that she wouldn't notice him entering without her permission. He successfully entered the room without her noticing, as she was fully immersed in dancing. Clark can't help but admire her talent as well as her beauty, which is being reflected in the mirror that is in front of her.
A minute has passed, and the dance has finally ended. Clark can't help but clap for her greatness, which surprised Wonyoung.
"Who are you?"
"How did you get here?"
Her eyes widened after she saw him standing near the door, giving her a round of applause. It was clear from her reaction that she was uncomfortable with his sight.
"I'm sorry for surprising you and invading your personal space. I'm Clark, a transfer student."
Clark gave her a bow to apologize after introducing himself. He was able to compose himself, controlling his inner fanboy, who was happy to see Wonyoung face-to-face. Wonyoung, on the other hand, is still mad at him for not knocking. She wanted to argue, but she was too tired to do so. She took her water bottle and quenched her thirst.
"You're good at dancing, Wonyoung-ssi."
Clark complimented her on maintaining a safe distance from her, and by safe, he meant he was 12 feet away from her. Wonyoung looked at him but was not able to see him clearly because she only had the lights lit up near her. But despite the lights turned off on his side, she still noticed how far he was from her, surprising her with his behavior.
"I have to go now; see you at class, Wonyoung-ssi."
Clark left the dance room, leaving Wonyoung behind.
"Weird guy, how does she know me? Is he a fan or something?"
Wonyoung said before taking another sip of her water bottle. She stood up, played the music again, and started practicing again.
Meanwhile, Clark arrived at the car, which opened and was unlocked immediately, which tells us that Mr. Lim was already inside.
"The transfer was made, and you can start in the second semester."
Mr. Kim informed Clark, who nodded and asked him to drop him home, to which the latter obliged. He looked back to the school and smiled, remembering his first encounter with Wonyoung.
Later that night...
Wonyoung arrived at their house after practicing for the whole day. She greeted her mom, who was watching television at the moment, before going to her room. She took out her phone and told her uncles about what happened earlier before leaving her phone on the table to wash up.
She came back after 30 minutes and realized that she had left her unnies hanging. She went to her phone to check and saw 99+ messages that she had to read again.
"Unnie, sorry, I forgot. He didn't come near me, which was relieving; he stayed at least 20 feet away from me. He also said that he's a transfer student."
After sending the message, her nieces gave different responses. But most of it was them just teasing her about whether the guys she saw were good-looking or not. She tried her best to defend herself, but it's 11 against 1, so it's an automatic loss. She closed the app and opened Twitter. Since all of IZ*ONE's SNS accounts have been terminated, she has made a private account for herself that she can use.
While scrolling through her timeline, she got curious about herself and typed in her name in the search toolbar. The first thing that showed up after tapping the search button was a tweet from a Twitter user named "Wonyoung JJang," whose name made her smile.
"Wonyoung dances well."
