Anna laughed as she ran back into the speed lab with Wally after racing.
"What? Still not good?"
"Um, I think maybe we should try again tomorrow. I can run a few more tests." Caitlin said as Anna's face fell.
"That was amazing. Dinner's on me. Whatever you want." Joe pulled Wally away.
"Test. Test. Fellow S.T.A.R. Labs employees. Your presence in the cortex would be greatly appreciated." HR said through the comms.
"That's tonight? His presentation?" Cisco questioned. "Great."
"What do you think if, after, maybe we get a drink? You,Anna, me, Barry?"
"Barry? We're just gonna get drinks? Pretend like we're friends? Nice try. It ain't gonna happen." Cisco snorted as he walked down to the cortex.
"He'll get there." Anna assured, grabbing Caitlin's waist and speeding them to the cortex.
"You want to open S.T.A.R. Labs to the public? In two weeks?"
"Soft open. Not a hard open. But, you know, I'll use your input. All right? Right now, it's very important 'cause the clock is ticking. My vision is set to include, but not limited to... bam... a personal transportation tour of the facility. Or, for the faint of heart, we have... pow... a virtual reality alternative. Both set to include particle vision. Particle vision, which is a moment-to-moment reenactment of the particle accelerator explosion, but seen from the point of view of... Part... The particle!" HR clicked the screen when he yelled another thing.
"Listen, H.R., I know that you're trying to figure out how you add value to the team, I get it, but this.."
"Let me stop you right there, B.A. I can make S.T.A.R. Labs the powerhouse in the scientific community that it once was, and, moreover, earn back the people's trust. Look at you guys. You just... your faces are so darn gloomy. Here's what we'll do. I'm gonna make you guys a..." HR trailed off when multiple beeps came from the computers.
"Was that... was that the satellite? I hope that wasn't the satellite." Cisco said as he pulled it up to the screen.
"Is that a meteor?" Caitlin questioned
"Why, yes, that is a meteor, and yes, it is heading for downtown."
"I got to go." Barry said as Anna followed after him, running through the city and towards the port.
"What is it? Barry, what do you see?" Cisco questioned, the comms glitching out.
"This isn't a meteor. Can you hear me? Guys?" Both siblings tapped onto their comms as they approched. The hatch opened, blasting them back as multiple aliens came out almost trampling them.
"Oh, come on." Barry muttered.
"Aliens!"
"Lyla. What is this? We saw the weird ship that crashed..." Barry stammered.
"You saw a ship? What else did you see?" Lyla questioned.
"Enough to give Ridley Scott nightmares." Barry scoffed.
"Meet me at S.T.A.R. Labs. I'll tell you everything I know." Lyla motioned away.
"Aliens? Are they "Alien" aliens or little green men?" Cisco chuckled.
"Both, sort of."
"Since we learned of them, we've been calling them the Dominators." Lyla explained.
"That is not the name of a species that comes in peace."
"No, no, it's very aggressive." HR noted.
