27. News flash kids. If you break your ankle, it hurts. You learnt something new today.

A large crack appeared on the ground separating us from Ru Twilight and Mavis..........Twilight? I'm not saying this was necessarily a bad thing but trust me it just keeps getting worse.

"That's what I heard in my blackout." Ash screamed. "That creepy poem he just said."

"That's nice." I yelled back at her.

Suddenly the floor we were standing on, began to crumble like wet paper and I grabbed Violet's and Ash's hands. How was he doing this? Something Mavis said clicked into place. Her father was the creator of Twilight. That watch was probably the most powerful weapon they had.

After the floor and lowered to a certain extent, it suddenly shot through some hidden space. It was with lightning speed and we found ourselves in mid air.

"Vale amicis, uel debeo hostibus?" Mavis yelled blowing a flying kiss. Her dad looked almost as a confused as I felt.

Ash translated for me like I even cared. "Good bye friends or should I say enemies?"

Now the way I'm saying this sounds like we are all just sitting on grass having a picnic on a checkered sheet. Nope. We were dying. Dying was inevitable. Falling down, down and down.

Suddenly I looked down and saw the ground. I lifted Violet onto my shoulders with Ash clinging her feet tightly around my stomach. I landed hard and hearing a frighteningly loud crack, I blacked out.

I awoke from the pain. My ankle was hurting so much it took me quite some time to remember where I was and finally drag myself up into a sitting position.

I looked around and saw Ash lying a few feet away with her eyes closed. After a few seconds of miniature heart attacks I realized that she was breathing. When I saw my ankle I almost blacked out all over again.

It was swollen and black and blue, with a bone bulging out unnaturally. I had most definitely broken it. How did it feel? It hurt a lot, thanks for asking.

Violet stirred and sat up groaning. Great. If she was bad I was dead. Defenseless. She rubbed her eyes and saw me staring at her. I cleared my throat and looked away.

"Um......hi."

She lowered her head miserably. "I'm so sorry." A tear trickled down her cheek. I awkwardly leaned forward and punched her gently rocking her backwards. She laughed quietly. I did that because we all made mistakes. I wasn't exactly Mister Perfect here. I'd made more mistakes than I could count. I reminded myself about Arthur. Surprisingly the memory didn't hurt as much as before.

She wiped her face with the back of her hand, unfortunately smudging her face with dirt. She looked human. She saw me smirking at her and glared at me. "Thanks for freeing me. Slogan."

"Call me Alex."

She tucked her knees close to her chest and put her chin on them. Speaking of feet, I remembered my ankle. I looked at it and winced. Wasn't the most pleasant side. Violet followed my gaze and put her finger tips to her lips in genuine shock.

"Wait, I might be able to do something about it." She said. She started crawling towards me and I just panicked.

"Hey, back off." Her head slumped down and her eyes showed emptiness and misery.

"You don't trust me do you?"

I pulled myself together. "Yeah, yeah I do. Sorry I just feel vulnerable. I've never broken any bone of mine." She looked up in surprise and gratefulness.

She sighed and came closer. "Prepare yourself." She told me smirking, and removed her wig. Nah, it didn't look weird or unnatural. She was kinda beautiful either way. I know what you are thinking. I seem to be having a thing for bald, was evil, villains. What is wrong with me? Oh wait, I know the answer to that one. Everything.

Violet slowly touched her tattoo mark on her head and her finger tips suddenly glowed purple. She slowly leaned forward and gripped my ankle. It didn't hurt. I felt like I was weightless with all my bones floating around me.

Suddenly everything settled and I could move again and my ankle looked and felt perfect normal. Her finger tips stopped streaming purple and she sighed with relief.

"I didn't think that would work."

I punched her the way I would punch Ash. "You mean I was just an experiment?"

She looked at me amused. "Maybe." I laughed and then looked at her seriously. "Thanks for getting my ankle back to normal. Queen V."

She stuck her tongue out at me in an extremely unqueenly way.

"Call me Violet."
