AN: I'm pleased to announce, from this chapter, most of the dark things are finished. This chapter is about flirtatious scenes between the girls and our favourite Dark god. Alright, so there will be five parts of Living his Life chapters, in which I need to cram 13 scenes, roughly 1.5K words each. Tough!
Time: A Month Later
The next day, upon severe insistence from the other girls, Calypso had set up a severe, rigorous medicine regime, consisting of lots of godly nectar, ambrosia, and mortal pills. She had even set up a temporary truce with Athena to come up with the most efficient medical regime, traversing the vast library for modern books and ancient tomes and scrolls.
Percy had to concede that the wisdom goddess was good at what she did. It was a well known, and undisputed, fact.
Slowly, but surely, he was regaining health, accelerated by his Dark domains and immortal ichor pumping in his veins.
No, he was not completely normal yet.
He still had nightmares even while he was awake. Every time he was alone, or thinking too deeply, he zoned out, lost in the dark horrors inhabiting his mind. Luckily, he was no longer dependent on others to save him- he was able to recognize between reality and dreams, and every time a dream manifested, he could inject himself with the clear syringe that Calypso used to keep the dreams at bay. Temporarily.
He still had debilitating nightmares when he slept, and had to take several sleeping pills to knock himself out for the night. Even so, his immortality flushed them out soon enough, and he found himself taking frequent midnight walks across the moonlit sands of Ogygia.
The beautiful moon shining in the sky, the invigorating, perennial sea breeze buffeting him. The soft sands, gleaming like ivory, yielded under his bare feet. The sea assumed a dark hue as it reflected the starry night sky, the froth of the gentle waves like pale horses riding the crests of the waves. The long leaves of the palms swayed and rustled in the breeze, creating a pleasant sound. He was alone in this vast nothingness, accompanied only by the nocturnal wildlife.
But Percy did not feel scared as he jogged along the several miles long beach, barely twenty feet from the dense jungle occupying a large part of the island, away from their house.
He had only just realised how large Ogygia was. It was larger than the original Rome.
Sometimes, he used his newfound power to fell trees without damaging the trunks. He used them as weights, apart from doing several hundred pushups and sit-ups to keep in shape.
Sometimes he meditated to get in touch with his domains, and the closer he came to completely understanding them, the more horrified he became.
It was... utter chaos.
However, Percy was still a soldier at heart, and never threw away a weapon. He harnessed his utterly destructive powers, rivalling hydrogen bombs, apart from teaching himself the basics of godhood- how to flash, how to change your appearance, how to control the Mist, etc. He spent long hours, almost five or six each night, practising his powers. He loved the addictive, intoxicating rush that pumped adrenaline through his veins, every time he immersed himself further in his Darkness.
Talking of that, that was what he was doing right now.
He sat on the sand on the beach, right by the sea, his feet lapped gently by the waves of the sea. Beads of sweat, cool and inviting, rolled down his forehead.
