AN: I think the title says it all. Enjoy!
Time: After Seeing Sabaton
Percy blew through his teeth in an irritated manner, creating a small whistling sound as he got his ears chewed out by Drew Tanaka's constant chatter.
She was beautiful, no one could deny that, the epitome of sinful, erotic beauty, but she was as girly as Aphrodite girls came, something that made Percy regret ever taking her out on a date.
The normally bitchy gossipmonger was as bitchy as ever, making Percy carry all her bags as she pranced happily from store to store, fluttering like an annoying, yet beautiful butterfly exploring a rich garden.
They were in a huge, sprawled out mall in Washington, one of the largest and most diverse in the entire country, and which was, of course, Drew's favourite.
The futuristic looking, shiny mall was an enormous behemoth of glass and steel with large windows, spanning the height of every wall on every floor, a marvel of glass and concrete architecture that even Athena would be proud of. It had the best stores that sold practically everything under the sun, the shopping spot for all the rich ministers and businessmen that populated the capital.
It had apparently always been her dream to shop through this mall reserved only for the upper, elite echelons of society who shat money, and now that she had a smoking hot, Dark god as boyfriend, she would obviously be taking advantage of his endless pockets, both figuratively and literally.
His infinite, godly bank account was there, of course, accompanied by special jeans Percy had got enchanted by Athena so that they had endless pockets, necessary for whenever he went shopping with the girls.
He had had half a mind to take her to a middle of nowhere, muddy farm and teach her humility, but he had other lessons planned, to teach the daughter of Aphrodite a much-needed virtue.
The thought made Percy's lips twitch upward, the shadow of a dark smirk breaking through the cracks in his mask.
His dark, sea-green eyes followed the Tanaka's form as she eagerly explored the contents of a perfume display with her eyes, before entering the shop.
Percy groaned, before following her into the shop, however reluctantly.
As the assistant catered to Drew's demands, Percy sighed softly, leaning against the counter as he looked out of the glass window into the city outside.
The city had the usual charm held by every urban area, an enormous dumpster that its inhabitants just couldn't live without. There were large, flashing billboards on every single building, enormous, official-looking skyscrapers with uncountable windows. The sun was up, this far south there was summer every day of every year, and it was reflected in the crowded streets, where the pavement was scorching and tires burst in the heat. Smoke and noxious fumes from the engines of the cars that crowded the streets, stuck in a never-ending line of traffic, rose to the sky in an impalpable swirl of dark grey that soon dissipated into nothingness. The cool breeze that Percy had grown used to, on Ogygia was replaced by a hot, dry breeze that made Percy's tongue parched, blowing dust. There were a few trees lining the streets, their dull green leaves caked with dust and drooping, poisoned by mankind.
Percy was jerked from his sombre anti-humanity contemplation by Drew, jumping up in his face to get his attention.
"Percy!"
"What?" He tried to keep the annoyance he was feeling, from leaking into his voice.
"What do you think of this cologne?" She took a hold of Percy's wrist, her soft palm wrapping around his arm and drawing out his hand with a gentleness he was unsure she was capable of. She sprayed a bit of the perfume she was holding, a beautiful blue crystal bottle that swirled with liquid inside.
