AN: I could have been playing Call of Duty right now..... but nooooo! Also, fair warning, this chapter contains knife and edge play. Discretion is advised.
Time: That Night
Thalia stared at Percy's broad back, hidden beneath a thin black t-shirt that hugged his strong, lean frame tightly, showing off his sculpted muscles in all their glory, as he led the way to his bedroom. Her spine tingled with excitement and anticipation at what was to come, and she could barely stifle the rapid thumping of her heart against her ribcage, trying her best to swallow the lump in her throat that just refused to go.
After their brief time of a few hours, note the sarcasm, with Nico and Will, the two had gone on a real date, wandering about in nighttime Manhattan, under the glowing moon. The air was slightly on the colder side of perfect, but Thalia preferred it that way. The city at night was vastly different from the city at day, the lights and noises were no longer annoyances, rather, they were the signs of vibrant life in a bustling city. The lights twinkled, shining through every window, door, and shopfront that one could think of, sweet, distant music wafting through the lively atmosphere, its slow tunes making Thalia smile up at her ....shared soulmate, all their worries forgotten for the night as they walked and laughed and enjoyed each other. Percy had introduced her to a cafe that had sprung up while she had been with the Hunters, and thus, out of touch with the modern world.
It had been the cutest little thing. The quaint cafe was small, with large French windows looking out over the busy street. The furniture was refined and tasteful, belonging in the house of some antique collector with its dark, polished oak tables and red, velvet cushioned chairs. Some low classical music was playing slowly over the speakers, to set the mood, and the atmosphere was one of quiet content and serenity. Bathed in the slightly dim -just the perfect brightness, in Thalia's opinion- yellow lights that sent shadows dancing all across her Dark God's face, the daughter of Zeus and the son of Poseidon just spent an hour staring at each other, their delicious, strong and bitter coffee forgotten.
Thalia found herself unable to complain when the bill- slightly higher than usual, came. The evening she had just received seemed straight out of the stories the Aphrodite girls sighed dreamily at.
She had to admit it, though, Percy looked much better than before with his completely new look, miles above her league. Although the guys gawking at her as she possessively hung off Percy's arm would disagree, Thalia was sure that most of the females in the universe would agree, despite their sexual orientation.
Thalia still thought that the maiden Artemis, Hestia and the Hunters, yes, including herself, were Percysexual.
A slight rosy tint appeared on her cheeks as she remembered how thoroughly she and Percy had been staring at each other, all sense of time and space forgotten.
Percy's sharp, sculpted face better than any Adonis ever born in the multiverse was covered by dark, mysterious shadows that accentuated his features and made Thalia feel as if her heart would bleed at everything he did. His dark, equally mysterious sea-green eyes swirled with power and various emotions as he stared deep into her blue orbs, his immaculate mask finally slipping to show the bloodthirsty Dark god, worse than any monster, than lurked beneath. His messy raven hair was its usual self, sucking in all light and accentuating his dark looks beneath stray shadows. Perfectly tanned, bronze skin glistened with slight sweat, glowing yellow beneath the lights of the cafe they had been in. An equally dark, few day old stubble darkened his chin. Dark, new tattoos peeked out from beneath his shirt and sleeves, running down his left arm like an elaborate snake of painted ink to encircle his SPQR tattoo.
But despite all his faults and evils, Thalia could not but be attracted to the Dark god like a moth to a flame, her heart fluttering whenever he was close by, her muscles tensing whenever he laid his eyes on her. She chastised herself for acting like a lovestruck little schoolgirl, but found herself unable to tear away her gaze from his unflinching scrutiny.
