A\N: writers block. it's only chapter 4. IMMA GIVE THESE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT >:(

Henry's POV

Ellie decided to stay over today.

no doubt that both of us are worried about Charlie's health or whatever sickness he has

i'm pretty sure it's a flu.

it can't be some random virus that Charles seemed to get.

plus, he just fell into a water fountain.

how worse can it get?

well, after lunch, Charles seemed to pass out, lying on the couch.

Ellie said she needed to call a doctor.

but i told her she's just being dramatic.

well..

i think.

Ellie didn't listen to me at all.

she pulled out her phone and decided to call the doctors office.

i groaned and walked over to Charles.

i hope that Charles doesn't have anything more then a flu.

i suppose he could get better quickly.

well, i cannot remember the last time i was sick or how long it took.

but i guess it got off quickly.

guess, we needed to cheek Charles so we wouldn't do anything extra.

i wouldn't want to make him MORE sick.

i kept on thinking to myself while Ellie was still taking the call.

hearing her voice going in and out, maybe she's pacing around the room.

i sigh once she hung up, like if i was holding my breath for  along time or so.

she came to me and sat next me, turning off her phone.

"we are going on Friday." she said, killing the silence around us.

"Friday?" i asked and she nodded.

"the place is packed. the guy at the office managed to find a spot on Friday." she explained.

why would the place be packed?

i may never know

Ruby was sneaking through the kitchen to find something to eat.

Ellie seemed to somehow notice and got up from the couch to stop her from doing a huge mess in the kitchen.

"what time do we have to go?" i asked.

Ellie walked out of the kitchen, carrying Ruby in her arms.

"um, 9:30." she answered.

i sighed.

i thought we had to wake up early in the morning.

Charles wakes up anytime.

i guess it's Tuesday.

i'm not so sure.

to be honest, i really want to get over by the fact that Charles fell in a water fountain in order to get sick.

makes no sense.

he might have forgot to wash his hands or something.

there could be many reasons why he could get sick.

==================================================

a few hours have passed.

Ellie told Charles about the appointment he had with the doctors.

"isn't the place packed from Monday to Friday?" Charles asked.

as if he worked there, he knew the place well.

"uh, yes. but they managed to find a spot for us on Friday." Ellie answered, fiddling with her watch

"uh huh. and why do i have to go?" Charles asked.

he didn't sound pissed off but more confused.

more confused then angry i say.

"well, i guess we need to see if you're doing well or we need to see how the fuck you got this flu of some sort." i explained.

Charles nodded when i finished explaining then sneezed.

"i'm pretty sure it's because i fell into water and it was cold." Charles said.

Ellie clicked her tongue.

"i don't think so. i remember i fell into a frozen pound when i was little. it was winter at the time and i didn't get sick." Ellie said, petting Ruby.

Charles seemed to be impressed by that, but he still agreed with his own reason why he's sick.

"do i need to get a shot?" he asked.

"maybe. so you would catch any RANDOM disease." i said.

(A\N: COVID-19. XD )

Charles sighed.

"i don't know if i could agree with any of this stuff. did you guys talk to General about this?" Charles asked.

he wouldn't ask General to fly a helicopter then why would we ask about a simple flu?

"no." Ellie said, blankly.

"oh" Charles answered.

"i can tell him now." Charles brightened. "i don't want anyone to worry!" Charles laughed and walked upstairs.

once we both heard the bedroom door close we both look at each other.

"Charles may be sick, but he's still... well.. Charles." Ellie laughed shyly.

"he moves around a lot instead of staying in bed, being helplessly sick." i added.

Charles isn't the type to stay in bed all day.

since he works for the Government, i don't think he ever did that.

i sighed then laughed it off.

i cannot do anything about it though.
