A\N: my life is so hard these days, y'know?

Charles POV

Henry has become a worrying mess.

sure, i don't blame him getting worried about a friend.

Henry has suffered enough, y'know?

so i kind of get on why he would suddenly worry from out of the blue.

i get worried for him and his health.

right now, he's doing just fine. Henry is just on his phone.

i'm just doing nothing up in the bedroom.

hours pass so fast and Ellie didn't even appear yet.

whatsoever, i'm pretty sure she's busy right?

i'm looking out the window, just noticing that the sun is setting

i opened my phone and saw that it was 7: 01 pm.

huh.

time does go fast. it felt like minutes, not gonna lie.

i sighed and stuffed my phone back into my pocket.

i had Ruby on my lap, yawning.

i smiled and started to pet the dog, gently.

"tired, Ruby?" i asked, softly whispering but it was loud enough for Ruby to hear.

she looked at me, i didn't really expect answer from her.

she barked and placed her head back on my leg.

i guess she is tired after all.

i'm not yet, just a little bit longer.

maybe two or three hours more?

i just wanna see the sunset right before my eyes.

-----------------------------

i can't sleep.

if you didn't know, it's around 2 in the morning.

almost three.

Henry was asleep upstairs in the bedroom

i wasn't, instead i sat on the couch, staring at the stars.

they painted the sky so beautifully, sometimes i even wonder what's up there.

are those even stars?

what if they're something else.

maybe they're angels.

that are watching us at night.

what a nice thought.

i yawned again, blinking away my sleepiness.

i didn't want to sleep just yet but i think i should.

i looked at the dark sky. at night, the area was mostly quiet and peaceful.

no loud noises are heard anywhere.

i saw something in the sky, it looked strange.

i looked closely into the window and it was rain drop.

thank god it wasn't anything dangerous.

something knocked on the door.

my eyes widened and i looked at the door.

fear started to wash over me all of a sudden.

maybe staying up was a bad idea.

i turned on the lamp next to the couch.

i walked quietly to the door. i looked through the small hole poked on the door.

Ellie is here!

i quickly opened the door.

"Ellie!" i exclaimed and gave her hug.

she patted back back as i didn't let go of her.

she smelled like dirt for some reason.

i pulled her inside and closed the door.

"where were you? why were you gone for so long" i asked

Ellie sighed and shook her head.

"i cannot explain." she said before she went upstairs.

i heard the door close and i was left alone.

i went upstairs and climbed into the bed.

still my mind was spinning with questions and i tried my best to ignore them

i closed my eyes, feeling the warmth get over me.

all i saw was a pitch black darkness.

i blinked my eyes open and snuggled against Henry.

i heard footsteps around the floor and i was sure that it was Ellie.

i heard a door open and close again.

fear still shook me but i didn't mind one piece.

not even a little.

-------------------------

i need to write more.

and i mean it
