Writer's note: If you are reading this story, I'm still a new writer and I am sorry if there are spelling mistakes, I'm still new to Wattpad. There may be some pictures I put in to help show you what I am imagining. I'm not very good at describing scenes or characters. I hope that where I have put the photos will help you see which characters they are. I will be thankful to any feedback on this story, and I am sorry if some sections do not make sense. I am still trying to piece it together, but I will try my best to upload weekly when I am not studying.
Just some extra information about a character. Alluro is you the reader, so imagine her as you like keeping in mind with the said descriptions of her later.
All the photos I use asides from the character photos were found on the internet. I don't remember what I searched up to find them, but I found them.
Thank you for reading my book! :) - Cehilmot
"Mommy! Where are you?" A child cries, "Mommy!"
"Hey, it'll be alright. Look I'm a fox too. Come on, I'll take you home." A fox boy says.
"Okay."
"Alluro? Thank you for taking me home. I'll return the clothes I'm wearing all cleaned. Do you want to join us for dinner? I don't think it would be very smart to go back home and eat after what happened." Vincent says gently.
"No." I reply distant.
"I insist please. It's the least I can do to repay you for what you did for me."
"No, so get out of my car."
He gets out the car shakily. I pull the passenger side window down.
I scared him. "I'll pick you up for school tomorrow, be ready."
I drive off leaving him stunned at the front door of his house. I watch him walk into his house through my rear-view mirror. I snap back to the road.
Where to now? The Racehouse? The station? Hell? Or just anywhere the road takes me for the night? Maybe the mountains? The beach? Wherever, I guess.
I drive. Just drive. I drive along the street full of animals sleeping soundly. The night is divided into two main worlds, the sleeping and the nocturnal. It's not that hard to guess what that means. Where do foxes come in this? Nowhere. We're forgotten on purpose, but that's just how it is. I turn the radio on to get rid of the eerily silence in the sleeping side of town as I drive through it.
"The King and Queen of Rayloss have had some royal news to share with us. They are holding a royal ball for their son's seventeenth birthday. They have allowed him to choose who can attend, but obviously the whole royal family will be there. Isn't this a lovely surprise?" a woman's voice says.
"Yes, yes, it is. I heard that there was a rumour going round that he single, is this true? Did his parents make him have the seventeenth birthday to find himself a wife? Tell me, Sparky. Please. Tell me that this is true?" The male commentator asks desperately.
"It's official. The prince is single. Prince Axel of Rayloss is single. So, ladies pull out your best pair of underwear and your best ballgowns because you might be given an invite from him."
"Wait, an invite does that mean he's–"
I turn off the radio not wanting to hear any more of it. By midnight I have driven myself to the beach. Not just to the parking space for the beach, the beach itself. I get out of my car and lean against it, listening to sounds of the waves crashing against the sand. It's so peaceful. I open my eyes and look around the beach. Further down the beachline there are some clothes just carelessly left out. There aren't many people at night so it's safe for me to come out, but it doesn't mean I can stay out. I wear a cap to cover my ears. It makes other people think that I'm just a wolf, not a fox. My tail is another issue. I don't show it, I just wrap it around my body to hide it.
The moon is pretty. It looks so happy and free. I wish I could be. Free. Is that a person in the water? Who would be dumb enough to swim in waters now? At midnight? It's the worst possible time to swim. Whatever. They're probably a fish or something.
The person dives down under the surface. A few minutes pass. They haven't resurfaced. Maybe they aren't a fish. I should probably go check on them. I take off my hat and walk into the water to find the person.
How far did he swim out?
I dive under the water. The water is dark, except for a faint twinkle of light. That's probably them. I swim down towards the light. Bingo! It's...a grown male. Not a fish, but a stupid bear. A bear. I drag him back to the sand. He's not breathing. Whatever. Before my hand touches his chest, he starts coughing up water.
Great. He lives. The stupid bear lives after swimming in dangerous waters at midnight. If he were smart, he would wear something otherwise who knows what could've taken his manhood. If I do this again who knows how much time I'll have left.
I walk to get his clothes and dump them on top of him. Wherever his friends are they'll come find him. I walk back to my car to get the spare clothes out of my boot. Why do I bother? Opening my boot, I search for my box of clothes only to find no towel I can use to dry off. Of all times I decide to rescue someone from the water. The water.
Guess I'll have to shake myself off dry. Just what I need.
I shake myself out and strip. My skin still feels wet but if I don't put anything on, I'll get sick. I slip on a tee-shirt, pair of shorts and a new pair of socks and shoes. The only things I had in my car. I place my wet clothes into my boot and hop into the driver's seat. I drive with the heaters on low, leaving the man behind on the white sandy beach. Back into the night with only one place in mind where I knew I could stay for as long as I want. NineFive. My garage. In a way, it's the closest place to...I don't know. I don't know. Home?
