"Shaide, who am I?"

"My child, you are aware of who you are. Why must you ask such a question?" He replies.

"My earth mother left me a message, but it doesn't quite make much sense. I will still inherit the spirit fox, right?"

"There is no one else who will. You were chosen for this. In time you will discover many truths and lies. Abilities you are unaware of that are awakening. You will become the strongest spirit fox to ever live."

"What will my name be? Would it be the same as..."?

"Silence. We have a soul we need to guide and then we will continue with your training and questions."

I face forward to watch the wandering soul.

I have a job to do. One that comes with a big burden. Not knowing my name. Not knowing my identity. Not remembering the people, I love. Losing me.

I channel my Hellfire and allow it to take over my body.

"Envelop in flames as cold as hell,

It burns within, and shall change

My feeble body to become one

With Hellfire." I recite.

As I do, Hellfire takes over my body and changes it. Instead of walking around like I do on Earth, I change into a fox. A two tailed fox, with black streaks of smoke like streams coating me. The souls of the dead. Ever heard of the phrase 'wear your heart on your sleeves'? Quite literally, wearing my soul. The both of us jump down from our spotting grounds down to the sea of sand towards the wandering soul.

"Where am I? Who are you?" It asks frightened as we approach.

"Do not worry. We are here to guide you to safety." I respond demonically.

My voice changes when I change into my shadow fox form. I sound like a demon, but I'm not really a demon. Not yet, at least, maybe. I don't know.

"I did no wrong on Earth, why am I in Hell?" It asks.

"You have nothing to fear. We will take you somewhere safe. After the Gods left, they close their door to Heaven. Only Hell is the only path left for everyone. Do not worry, it is not what you think it is. Soon you will realise that Heaven is Hell, and Hell is Heaven."

The wandering soul climbs onto Shaide's back and we run. We run away from the sea of sand and into the land on fire. These flames cannot hurt those who ride with the spirit foxes otherwise known as fox demons. The safest part of Hell is Heaven to the wandering souls. It's amazing to see how these souls change overtime. Here, no one can leave. The gateway to Heaven was shut. The Gods are selfish. That's one thing. They only think of themselves. Are they still alive? Yes, very much so. Without Gods, there is not demon race; without the demon race, Gods cannot exist. A symbiotic relationship gone wrong because the humans and animals were not satisfied, causing the Gods to turn on the demons and start the war that ended all. It also ended me.

Throughout my whole life, I was treated as a threat. A deceitful being. A person lower than the rest. My whole entire race has. We're not. Although it may seem like we are lying and sinister beings, we're not. We're just like everyone else. But it doesn't matter. Not anymore. We will never be able to stand on equal grounds as the rest because of the story.

I will break this curse placed upon me. I will rewrite history and the story.

We reach the haven where we keep the wandering souls we find. Most here call it Heaven.

"Thank you for taking me somewhere safe." The soul thanks before turning around and running further into 'Heaven'.

"Shaide?" I ask as we head back to the gate where the souls enter Hell.

"Yes, my child. What is it that plagues your mind?" He responds.

"I have decided that I will inherit the Spirit Fox and become one with it. I am prepared to lose everything." I say proudly adamant in my decision.

"Dear child, you have a lot to learn."

"I understand. To become the Spirit Fox, I will endure the training and stay true to my words."

"Child, you do not understand. It is more than just training and staying true to your words. Your words can be empty, but your earthly attachments cannot. You can go through all the training, but still will not be able to unleash your full potential if you cannot silence your thoughts. Will you be able to let go of that boy?"

"What boy?"

"The one you take care of. The fox."

I pause. "He will not be an issue, Shaide. I can handle him."

"What of your earth mother?"

"She...she can...she can rot in Hellfire."

"My child, Hellfire is not necessarily the answer to everything. You should return to your world, once the sun rises here, you won't be able to return. Go."

"Thank you, Shaide. Goodnight."

"Don't forget to transform back. It will be troublesome if you get stuck like this."
