My mother, Lujane. I don't know what game she is playing, but I can't afford to sit around and wait for her to show up. Or maybe I can. No, it would be foolish to wait for someone who abandoned me. I can't back down now. Just one person knows where she is. Just one, and I haven't spoken to him in a very long while.
"Are you sure about this, Alluro? He hasn't made any attempts to try and talk to you." Bruce worries.
"I'll be fine, Bruce. It's not like he's anywhere near you so it shouldn't be that hard to talk to him." I reply distantly.
"Anywhere near me? Have we now a somewhat friendly relationship between father and daughter, Alluro?" He perks up a little.
"I'm not your daughter. You're not my father. I would call it acquaintances. I hardly know you; you hardly know me."
"Families don't have to be blood related. Greg and Dominic aren't my real children. They had a different father, yet I still consider them my sons. The same way I call you my daughter, but you won't let me. You know that I talk about you more than anyone, right? Some of my colleagues want to meet you."
"It's sounds nice, but I'm not interested in being friends with some animals or humans who have nothing good to say to me. Unlike the twins, whose father is dead, mine is very much alive."
"Is that why you don't want to consider me your father or dad?"
"It's not whether I want to, I can't. I have a job to do and if I don't do it, I can end up dead."
"But you're not afraid of death. You've said it so many times, Alluro. I know it has nothing to do with death. So just tell me the truth, please."
"Even if I wanted to, I think we both know that there's no way for me to say it, because I don't know how to."
He nods, "Well, I guess the only way to wrap things up, hey, is to drop you off at the restaurant."
I let out a heavy sigh. I can see Bruce beaming with happiness even though he's trying to hide his sadness through an over-zealous smile.
"Fine, but just this once."
"I will bring the car around." He says quickly dashing off to the garage to get his car ready.
I let out a small breath of laughter and let a smile show a little bit on my face as I turn back to face the mirror. I check myself over again hoping that my presentable clothing looks alright. I never dress up fancy to meet anyone. The markings on my ankles are covered well with the socks but as for my arms...well, I guess the jacket covers them okay. I would prefer to wear a long sleeve underneath the high neck shirt, but I couldn't be bothered. The necklace around my neck is a little too extra, but I guess it's the only way, huh? I pick up my cross-body purse with money and my phone inside and head out to the front door. There's an uneasy feeling in my chest, it feels strange. I've never felt this sense of uneasiness before.

"Where are you going, Alluro? Off to see your boyfriend?" Dominic asks casually.
"He's not my boyfriend." I reply bluntly.
"Then why are you all dressed up? I'm fairly sure Prince Axel doesn't know who you are. Wouldn't be a shame if someone else coined the lucky prince." Mary teases evilly.
"For your information, Mary, you won't have to put up with me for very long. I rescued Prince Clement who is celebrating his coming of age with the Prince of Rayloss, Prince Axel."
"You still didn't say why you were dressed up. What's the occasion?"
"I'm meeting someone. That is all I can tell you, the rest of confidential and is on a need-to-know basis. You do not need to know. I will be taking my leave now."
"That's too bad, I already told the press of you and handed a photo over to them. Enjoy the ball, fox."
I don't listen to a word she says. I leave the house and get into Bruce's car. He asks no question as to why he waited for a little while. We leave, headed straight for the city.
Darius you better answer my question...why did youleave me alone?
