My best mistake

Jakes POV
I woke up a few hours later it took me a while to remember why I was lying in a bed other than my own, then I heard a small sigh and turned over, Holly lay next to me dressed in my shirt which fell to mid thigh on her, she looked so beautiful asleep. Her long lashes swept across her cheeks, she was dreaming, what I did not know, a small smile crept to her face. I reached out and stroked her cheek. she sighed and her eyes fluttered open she looked at me then shot out of bed
"What wrong?"
She looked at me terrified,
"What? Wait you should not be hear!"
I stared at her.
"Why"?
She stared at me
"JUST GET OUT!"
I gaped at her then stood up and walked out. she did not follow me.

Holly's POV
I slid down to the floor. What had I done I looked down a noticed I was still in Jakes shirt, tearing it over my head I threw it across the room, walking over to my vanity table I looked in the mirror and shrieked! There was a dark purple hickey on my neck!
"What the fuck!!"
I was going to kill Jake, I don't know what made me sleep with him, just them my phone buzzed, I glanced down and shrieked again, it was my cheer coach asking me if I was coming to practice. grabbing my practice uniform, I ran out the door to my car. As I drove down the road I scolded myself for falling for him, I was so distracted I did not notice the SUV swerve across the road, there was a crash then everything went black.

Jakes POV
I slammed the door to my house and stormed up to my room, what the hell was wrong with Holly? She seemed like she enjoyed last night, I hope she did not mind the hickey that I her, smirking, I slammed the door and sank down on my bed, then my phone buzzed, grabbing it hopes that it was Holly faded when I saw it was just her friend Lexi. I sighed and picked up,
"Hello?"
A panicked voice responded
"Jake it's Holly!"
My heart sank
"What happens?"
Lexie was sobbing
"She got into a car accident and is in the hospital! The doctor dose not know if she will make it!"
I dropped my phone and ran out the door my heart pounding. I pulled into the hospital and ran inside. the lady at the desk looked up and smiled at me
"Can I help-"
I cut her off
"My girlfriend got hit by a car where is she?"
The lady looked taken aback by my forceful request.
"U-umm let me look"
I tapped my foot impatiently,
"Room 120 sir"
I raced past her to the elevator, once I reached her floor I found the room and knocked on the door. A nurse opened the door and looked at me,
"May I help you?"
"My girlfriend, Holly! Where is she?"
She stood aside and let me in,
Holly lay on the bed with a bandage wrapped around her head IVs were put in her arm, I glanced at the hear monitor, she was breathing normally.
"She's flatlined twice."
The nurse looked at me sadly
"It looked like she was on her way to cheer practice, the man who hit her said he lost control and spun into her lane, we had to break the windshield to get her out."
I sank into a chair and put my head in my hands. what had I done?
