Jake's POV

" I have no idea."

I looked over at Holly, she looked lost and confused. I reached over and rubbed her back soothingly .

"Hey, its going to be alright, you'll figure this out, "

She looked at me with watery eyes and pressed her face into my shoulder. I rested my head on top of hers, I did not want to push things but I was seriously enjoying this at the moment. She stood up, and smiled at me,

" I should get going..."

I nodded and walked her to the door, she stood on the doorstep, I had a sudden urge to kiss her, I knew it was beyond my better judgment but I found myself taking her face in my hand and gently kissing her mouth. She jumped back and looked at me. I could not read her face and I wondered what she was thinking. She just turned and walked away, I watched her go and could not help but think that I had made a good decision.

Holly's POV

Why would he kiss me? Did he not know the meaning of the word friend? But I could not deny that I had not missed his kisses. I began to feel frustrated, What am I thinking? To hell with this I had Shawn to think about, I thought back to the time only a couple of hours ago when he had kissed me, I was pathetic just after he had kissed me I had kissed my ex! But then again he kissed me! The asshole. How could he? He knew about Shawn. But were we even together? I felt my phone vibrate, I pulled it out and looked at the screen. I sighed. Shawn. I slid the bar to accept the call and held the phone to my ear.

"Hey Shawn!"

I could almost see his smile as he spoke back to me.

"Hey Holly I was wondering if you wanted to come see that new movie that just came out with me tonight?"

I grinned.

"Yeah! Totally!"

I could just imagine his goofy grin

"great I will pick you up at 8!"

After he hung up I sprinted home my hoddie once again hanging off my shoulder I raced up the steps and up the stairs to my room. I flicked on thI fairy lights and walked into my bathroom and turned on the shower to hot. As the water was heating I went to my closet to pick out a outfit for tonight. I flicked through my clothes and found a strapless floral dress I pulled it out and placed it on the bathroom counter. I stripped on hopped in the shower, as I let the hot water rush down my body I wondered what would happen. I thought about Jake and how he had taken everything that once made up my life and how not matter how much I hated him now I would never regret our relationship.

Shawn's POV

I was starting to freak out a little. It was 6:30 and I still had no idea what I was going to wear. I had showered and was currently sitting in sweats starting at my closet. I wanted to dress up a little but at the same time I still wanted it to be a little laid back. I walked over and pulled out a dark blue button up and khakis.

I stood n front of the mirror and nodded. better then it seemed in my imagination. I glanced at the clock 7:30 it would take me 10 minutes to reach Holly's so I had 15 minutes to spare I suddenly had an idea and grabbed my keys and rushed out the door.

Holly's POV (sorry that Shawn's was short...)

I finished curling the last section of my hair and pined my bangs back in a crown. I found a pair of plain white heels and applied eyeliner and mascara. Looking at the clock I saw that I had 5 minutes before Shawn was supposed to be hear. I walked downstairs almost as soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and saw Shawn, I had to admit he looked amazing, he smiled shyly and produced a dozen pink roses. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks how did he know that pink was my favorite? I laughed and kissed him.

"Thank you so much Shawn!"

I wrapped my arms around his neck, he laughed.

"your welcome! You ready to go?"

I smiled and nodded he held out his arm, he was such a gentlemen. I looped my arm through his he lead me to the car and opened the door for me. I hopped in and he climbed in the drivers seat. We took off to the movie theater downtown. We parked and he jogged around to my side and opened the door for me and helped me down. As we got in line to get out tickets I spotted the last person I wanted to see, Jake was hear with his friends, I moved closer to Shawn hoping he would not see me. No such luck. One of his friends poked him and jerked his head my way Jake looked at me. I saw his eyes flicker from Shawn to the roses I was still holding. His eyes narrowed and gave me a look. I made a point of slipping my free hand into Shawn's. I saw him smile and squeeze my hand. Jake looked away looking dejected. We reached the front of the line and Shawn bought the tickets and we walked inside my heels clicked on the linoleum floor.

well hello there!! I hope you lovely people are enjoying the story I know it kinda sucked. I'm trying my best. But anyway EOC's where today... for those of you who don't know thats End Of Course Exam... Fun times... But you know what 29 DAYS UNTILL SUMMER!!!! so freaking happy! All you beautiful people have to get ready for the beach! Of course you guys will top all the others at the beach! You guys are sooooo beautiful! Idk about you but i'm ready for a good sunbathing session!
