Still Isa's pov

I had just woken up. Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. Jake the guy I had grown to like turnded out to be crazy in a way. I was really dreading of going to school knowing he would show up. He told me he would date me. He was close to raping yet I'm all calm. Looking through my clothes my door opens.

"Isa we need to talk. "My mom says.

"Mom I need to get ready for school. We can talk later today." I said.

"Baby girl this can't wait till later. Look you need to sit diwn because what I need to ask from you is something I didn't want to do but it has comw to this." She says.

"Did something happen to dad." I said worry.

"No but it'something to do with him. I have deided to go back on the road to see what has been going on with him since I left. Now I don't know how long I'll be one but I need you to watch the kids. "Mom said.

"So i 'm being punished for ditching school?" I said.

"No baby that's not it. This is only temporary alright. I'll still check on you guys but I. She didn't finish.

"Mom what has been going on with dad. You two seemed really mad at each other the other day." I said.

"Don't wory okay. It's just being awayfrom each otherhas been hard." She says.

"Mom I think I wantto go back to homeschoolong." I blurt out.

"Honey why is that?" She asks.

"I wanna go with you. Heck all of us should be hime schooled. We were all ahooy on theroad togetherso why not do it again." I said beam vting.

"Are you hiding something from me? I can tell something is bothering you so just tell me." She says.

I can't tell her.I need to lie. "Mom I just miss it is all. It feels like coming back here was a mistake. Look we seem miserable and the road use to be our home. Mom can we please just go back to that." I said hoping.

"I know you miss it but you gotta understand that I just want you four to have a normal life. I didn't have one so I'm making sure you do have one. You will thank me when your older okay. Just please do this for me." She says.

"Fine." I said.

"I'll make it up to you okay." She says.

"Please leave my room so I can get changed for school which I'm running late too now." I said.

"Now missy no attitude okay. So I"ll be leaving tonight. I was going to wait till Monday but I'll just fly out to the city there going to be in." She says.

"I just hope this is worth something." I said harshly.

"Look Isa I know this is asking a lot but right now I need you to be a respoisble youg adultand look after your siblings. When you come back from school I'll be leaving. I expect you to come home on time today." She says walking away.

I just ignored the fact my mom wants me to babysit for who knows gow long and with the whole Jake thing its not going to be easy.

I haf just finished getting ready and went downstairs. Someone had honked there car horn and I realized it was Jake. I guess he's taking all this seriously. I had all my things and just waved back to my mom who was in the kitchen with my little brother. I then headed out the door. I made my way to Jake's car and he smiles at me.

"So baby you feel like skipping school today?" He asks.

"Not really. I think it'sbest I'm in school." I said looking down to my feet.
