Chapter 56

The next day

The kids were getting ready for school when my phone rang. I looked who was calling and I saw it was Stephanie.

"Hello." I said.

"Hello Mari. I just wanted to know if you would like the opportunity to come back for a final run and be divas champion again."she says.

"I don't think I'll be going back. I appriciate the opportunity that you are giving me but I need to be divas champion again but maybe someone else should take this opportunity." I said.

"Well that's the thing Mari. I'm not sure if you heard but Aj has decided to retire. She was one of our top divas and now we need someone with her status to live up to the job." She says.

"I need sometime to think. There has been somethings that I need to work on and I don't wanna leave my kids anymore." I said.

"Mari I kow you love them but we can really use your help in this. It'll just before a few months untill we develop a good storyline for our divas and choose from there. Will have you win the last match you'll have so the title will be vancant in the end." She says.

"Let me think about it and I'll get back to you by the end of the week." I said.

"Okay but I hope you reconsider the offer."she says hanging up.

This phone call can help me save my marriage with Dean. We coud be traveling together and make this work. He still loves me as I do. One thing I can't help take off my mind is the promisei madeIsa. No more traveling. The kids want me home. I was basically turned into a stay at home mom. A woman who would do anything for her children. Someone who is always there for then no matter what. A mother who is willing to keep her promise to her kids.

The only way I can have a clean concious is by talking to them. I headed upstairs and saw that the kids were doing there homework.

"Um kids I need to talk to you." I said.

"What is it mom." Little Jon said.

"Its best we are all together so you guys can give me your opinion in something." I said.

"Okay mom." Mayra said.

"Um mom Mayra just told me you wanted to speak to all of us. Does it have to do with dad?" She asks.

"Yes so just meet us downstairs when you out Robin down for his nap." I said.

I went downstairs and just hoped the kids would understand.

"Alright mom so what did you want to tell us." Mayra said.

"Okay so you know I said I would never leave you guys but I got a call from Stephanie." I said.

"Okay I think I know where this is going." Isa said.

"Isa please let me explain."I said.

"No mom you wanna leave again. So much for that promise you said you do. It hasnteven been a week and you wanna leave already. Dad leaves and you just have to follow him back. You know mom why do you even have us,actuallybetter yet why did you even have us if you were never gonna be with us or even retire at all." Isa said.

"LookI just wanted your opinion. I never said I accepted the offer I was given. I have by the end of the week to tell them." I said.

"It doesn't matter at all mom. We know your just gonna leave us. I thought you really meant what you said at the hospital. I can't believe I fell for your lies. Just leave now and I'll do what you never did and its be a mom who actually cares about us." Isa says storimg upstairs.

"You know mom I agree with Isa. Your never with us and maybe its best you left us. No matter what you say its just lies. Good luck mom so much for waiting for us to go with you guys."little Jon said leaving as well.

"Mayra." I said.

"Just go. Were better of without you." She says leaving.

Why do my kids hate me? I get they don't want me to leave but its for a good reason. Patching hings up with Dean and to be champion again is something good.

I decided to go pack my things. This hurts knowing I'm leaving but I need to make things right with Dean. He is the only one who helps me feel good. I need him so much.

As I was in my room I started packing my things and I then came across my pills. I looked at them and debated if I needed them. This was the reason I was in this position. I just put them on the side and put all my things that I needed.

When I finished packing I decided to look for my kids. I saw they were in Robins room all hugging each other.

"Kids can I come in." I said.

"Yes." They said in unison.

"Look I can't go like this. You guys are my life. I am being selfish but you guys will never be forgot. I'll be back home before you know it. Your dadwas mad at me when he left and I don't wanna go the same wy like he did with me with you guys. I asked you gusy so you wouldn't feel I was breaking a promise. This opportunity is just till someone can take over is all. I am going to be retire for reals afterwards so don't be mad at me." I said.

"Look mom we get you wnat this but when will the truth actually come. You kept promising you will stay but never do." Mayra says.

"What if I make this promise with all of you. After my run ends I'll stay for good. We can bethe normal family I have always said we were gonna be but haven't been there at all."I said.

"We love you mom and if it means your gonna stay with us together afterwards then have a good run. We will always support you."Isa says.

"Kids know I will keep my promise." I said.

"We hope so too." They said hugging me.

"Take care okay. I'll have Aj watch over you from time to time so be good." I said.

"We will she is a great aunt." Mayra said.

"Yes she is. My best friend the aunt." I said smiling.

"Just be careful mom. We will miss you." They said.

I hugged and kissed every single one of them. I gave them one last smile before leaving. Now is the time to go and fight against the world. Time to be the same me or different me. Let's just hope good things come from this.
