“Hey Lex,” Clarke said as they were headed to the car, ready to go back to the house, the night had to end at some point even though both wanted it to last for a lifetime.

“Yes Clarke?” Lexa stopped and turned to look at her, Clarke didn’t know if it was the way Lexa said her name or the fact that they were under the same sky but all the stars in the universe felt like they were aligning for them , she was happy, in a long time Clarke was finally happy.

“Thank you,  for the happiest night of my life, The best one in a long while, you make my heart beat in weird rhythms you know," She chuckled "God I love you.” Clarke said, kissing Lexa’s cheeck and running off, “Catch me if you can then, the night is still young Lex!!” She screamed running away from the car to the opposite direction, she was running towards the beach.

Lexa stared in awe as Clarke ran, her hair caught up in the wind, threatening to fly away and her dress was a work of art as it blew in a directions, making Clarke look more breathtaking, of course the moon had to light her up. Clarke was it for Lexa, nobody could ever, has ever made her feel these feelings, these life changing feelings.

“Oh it’s a deal!” Lexa laughed too as she followed behind Clarke, running as fast as she could, and by a second, she won the race as she reached the shoreline, a second earlier than Clarke.

“Oh my God you cheated!” Clarke accused, laughing as she tried to catch her breath. Clarke let herself collapse on the sand, using her hands as a pillow for her head.

“I don’t remember you as a sore loser.” Lexa looked down at Clarke, truly amazing. The Gods must have created Clarke for nobody but her and herself for nobody but Clarke

“Well I never lose Lex, by now you should know that. Double dare, skinny dipping.” Clarke got up as the idea presented itself in her mind, she admitted it was a horrible idea, the water was probably freezing and she was cold already but she wanted to keep going, to not stop.

Lexa chuckled lightly, but Clarke began undressing herself, “Clarke, you not serious.”

“Scared of a little challenge are you?” Clarke smirked, standing in her bra and panty. “Come on, I don’t want tonight to end.”

“Isn’t it cold.” Lexa asked

“It’s probably freezing but we’ll get warm after a while in.” Clarke reassured

Lexa shock her head and smirked lightly while taking all of her clothes off until she stood in her bra and panty as well, Calke wrapped her arms around Lexa’s neck, standing on her toes,” You’re the sexiest human being on this planet you know that. “

“Says the hottest woman I’ve seen since I’ve lived.”

Their lips connected in a brief kiss, before Clarke pulled them both in the water, “OHHH NO NOOO NO Clarke this is freezing, a fever, a cough.” Lexa rambled on

Clarke moved closer to her, putting Lexa’s arms on her waist, “It’s super cold Lex, but we’ll survive.” Clarke laughed, splashing water at Lexa who in turn shrieked and tried to get away at all costs, Clarke kept on laughing as she realized that this what she wanted , nothing much, not money or anything else, Just Lexa and the kids and this, these moments, these nights.

“Hey!” A flashlight blinded Clarke and she froze, the man yelling was still far, “This is a private beach.”

“Clarke, run.” Lexa yelled and they hurried out of the water, grabbing their clothes and sprinting to the car, the man still hot on their heels, Lexa started the car and drove away.

“You were right, THAT WAS AWESOME.” Lexa laughed and Clarke turned back and let out a breath.

“I froze.” She said, laughing along with Lexa, “God you make me want to do all these crazy things.”

“We have a lifetime to do a lot more crazier things than that Clarke,”

In this moment all of Clarke’s worries about the future disappeared because she wanted to believe every word lexa spoke and she did. She just hoped she wouldn't have to regret it.

“And Clarke?” Clarke turned to look at Lexa, “I love you too.” She said, the car came to a stop as they reached the house. Clarke smiled and looked at the house and back at Lexa

“You wanna come in for a sec.” She asked, Lexa cupped Clarke’s face in her hand, in turn Clarke closed her eyes at the soft touch, warm hands, home. They felt like home. Their lips collided, soft and fast, slow and sloppy, feelings flying everywhere. A promise shared in one kiss, a promise to fight for each other till the end, no more giving up, no more running, this was the promise.

Lexa pulled back first and shock her head as a smile presented itself on her lips. “I’d love to come in, but I can’t.” She said, “I wanna do this right, and besides I think Anya and Octavia will need an update.”

Clarke laughed, “Raven as well.” She said, “Well text me when you home and be safe.”

Clarke went in and found Raven waiting for her on her sofa. "You still here."

"So, how was it?" Raven sat up, patting the empty space next to her, Clarke followed suit and sat next to her, laying her head on Raven's shoulder.

"It was really amazing." Clarke smiled, "We swam in the cold water and got chased by some old man."

"Uhh-" Raven turned so she could look at Clarke, "You know I only understood, half of that and imagined it probably in the weirdest way possible, explain."

Clarke sighed and lifted her legs onto the couch, "It was like being alive again, being back from the dead in a way." Clarke smiled at her admission.

"Yeah we went to a fancy restaurant, not my scene but it was perfect cause you know Lexa was there and you know we might need food before I continue,"

"Imma order a pizza, don't move dude. I want the dirty details too, not just sweet and corny Lexa. I want commander Lexa."

"God your mind needs baptism Rae!" Clarke exclaimed, "Imma go change first I'm wet."

"Lexa that fast?" Raven turned around, ignoring the person on the phone.

"Raven we went swimming, you need prayers." Clarke shock her head as she ran up the stairs. What more could she need if not this?
