Clarke went into town after dropping the kids off, she needed to see Octavia and R we'veaven about the job offer she'd gotten from them.

She walked inside the shop, spotting Raven behind the counter. She walked up to her, "Hey," She said, standing on the side while Raven helped a few customers that formed a small line.

"Hi, give me a minute and I'll be with you just now." Raven told her sister, Clarke took the chance to walk around the shop meanwhile. In the short time she picked up a magazine full of word puzzles and the coloring pens Madi had asked for.

By the time she was done looking around, the line had gone and she let Raven ring the two items up. "So what brings you by?" Raven asked.

"Can't I come by to see my favorite sister and my friend." Clarke let a small smile play on her lips.

"You know... you're always full of shit, I'm your only sister and O is out for the day... went to Lexa's studio." Raven says.

Clarke's mind went back to Lexa telling her about Lincoln, the guy Octavia has a crush on. God what was happening to the world. Octavia is married but persuing a relationship with Lincoln, Her sister busy with Luna who is married to Octavia, the only innocent party to all of this was Anya, the one to get hurt the most if it all came out.

"You're think too much." Raven deadpanned.

"Seems like everyone is cheating on each other is all." Clarke said casually as she went round the back to take a seat on the chair there.

"You know something?" Raven smiled, the only way to rile up Raven was with gossip, booze and danger, somehow Raven was madly attracted to danger.

"Octavia has a crush on one of Lexa's colleague."

"I knew she was spending way to much time over there, shit is gonna hit the fan soon and I can feel it about what I did with Luna." Raven admits her fear, she drops her eyes to her feet and stares at them long and hard while talking, "I want to tell Anya but I'm scared she'll leave me."

"But you can't enter a marriage full of lies though." Raven looked up at that and let out a long sigh.

"I know that but enough about this depressing topic. What you really doing here?" Raven asked as she helped yet another customer.

"The job you offered, is it still available?" She asks

"Uhhh..." At the sound of that Clarke knew she had to come up with another option. "Money is a bit tight here and besides you wouldn't be doing much... But I can hook you up with mom's boyfriend,"

"Ewww Rae, what the hell!"

Raven face-palmed herself. "I mean he is a pretty big deal in the writing industry and knows a lot of people in the art industry too, your mind is dirty btw."

"Is not," Clarke smiled lightly, admitting to herself that maybe her mind was a bit dirty. "Isn't he a doctor?" Clarke asked since he was Madi's doctor when she got hurt.

"That too." Raven replied, "He's pretty much awesome Clarke,"

"Okay, this has been fantastic but I have to go...I'm meeting Niylah for a talk and get on with telling Anya before it gets out." Clarke left Raven sitting with her regret and with no way to turn back time and fix her mistakes.

Outside the shop, she texted her mother to pick up the kids for her while she had the lunch date with Niylah, with an instant reply from Abby she backed her car out and drove off to the coffee shop they were meeting at, havig sent the location pin to Niylah already.

She was an hour early but she took the time to order herself a cup of coffee and as she sat there she took out her journal.

The pen in her hand danced with the paper, turns and twists, slides and glides, a dance of her of own, a dance with nothing but words. Words would always be her safe place, her sanctuary.

Niylah arrived at the coffee shop and spotted Clarke immediately, it was hard not to notice her, to her Clarke was the light that lit every room, she stood by the door, staring at her. Wondering what could have been if it hadn't been for Lexa.

Just as she was about to turn back and leave as if Clarke could sense her presence, she lifted her head up and spotted Niylah by the entrance.

Her ocean eyes, strawberry lips, and her spirit all at once smiled at her and Niylah offered a smile back, but she imagined hers was nothing compared to the one Clarke had on her face, nothing could ever compare to that.

She imagined that meeting Clarke as friends would be easy but nothing about it was easy, it just felt as though thousands of tiny knives were stabbing her heart.

"Clarke, looking like a goddess as always." She said, trying to play it cool, Clarke had one a summer dress covered in flowers and a simple sand el on her feet but she looked radient.

"You don't look too bad yourself," Clarke smirked, their eyes locked on each others for a momemt and Clarke could not believe how easy it was with Niylah, the instant calm that comes over her whenever she was around her.

Niylah looked away and took a seat opposite to Clarke, "It was good hearing from you," She said instead  because she couldn't do anything more, Clarke was taken.

"I..." Clarke's screen light up followed by Control by Zoe wees. The name Lexa clearly written on the screen. She looked at it and back at Niylah.

"Sorry, I'll put it on silent." Clarke cut the call and put her phone on silent, and shoved it in her bag.

"You should have answered that," Niylah says after watching Clarke, "I know what we are Clarke and I know what you two are and I'm so happy you're happy, so you can answer it."

"I asked Lexa for some time apart," Clarke blutterd out, "I think I need to focus on me for a while and I can't when she's in the picture cause then she makes everything seem alright even though I feel like I'm literally falling apart most times."

"Uh," Was Niylah's response, her mouth open a bit. "I feel like a proud mama right now, you know what's best for you and you are claiming the right to it, it's progress Clarke."

Clarke beamed like a small child being given candy, she knew she was working towards something to even if she didn't know what it was.

They talked for hours and by the time Clarke checked the time it was past six and she had to go and get the kids back from her mother's.

"You know, you're the best company," Clarke admitted and for a moment too she thought, she let herself wonder how it could have been like with Niylah but Lexa was the lobe of her life, she chose Lexa because nobody was her, nobody was Lexa Woods.

"You're not too bad yourself Griffin, but I think we should split ways now, it's late."

"Yeah, let me just text my mom that I'm on my way to hers and we can go."

Clarke picked up her phone from the table, sliding it open she was greeted with 10 missed calls from Lexa, 15 from her mother.

Her body ran cold, something bad had happened, she could feel it.

She could feel it in her bones and she didn't know how to get out of the frozen state she was in, her mind wasn't working.

Death, that was the only word bouncing around in her mind, death had taken someone from her again, but who, and could she survive it.

"Clarke!" Niylah screamed, "Clarke you're not breathing," She said standing to her feet and next to her, she did the only thing she could think.

Niylah's open palm collided with Clarke's cheek, "Breath dammit!" That jolted Clarke right up and she took a gasp of breath as though coming up from under water.

Niylah stared at her, her face of pure worry.

"I think something really bad has happened." Clarke breathed out.
