Comet's POV:
"Are you sure you wanna do this?", Marco asked, sitting criss-crossed on his bed, "I mean, I don't mind, I just never thought it was... that bad."
I firmly unrolled the sleeping bag on his carpet. "I just can't deal with her right now", I answered as I halfheartedly flung my pillow onto my bed for the night. "She says she'll be careful and that I don't have to worry, but then she goes out and does things like that. And what's worse she dragged you into the mess too!" I took a deep breath to calm myself down.
Marco had leaned back slightly with widened eyes, probably not having expected such an outburst from me.
"... Comet, is something else bothering you?"
"Huh?", I asked, surprised by his question.
Marco scratched the back of his neck. "Well, it just seems unusual for you to... be bothered this much. I figured something else might be going on."
I sighed, pulling my knees up to my chest. Marco silently waited for me to say something. I thought a bit, hesitating on whether or not to tell him. I didn't want to scare him, or make him worry too. I sighed again and shook my head.
"It's nothing. I just have been... a bit on edge lately."
Marco sighed too, then stood up to stretch. "Alright then. I'll go grab some snacks from the kitchen. You want something too?"
I smiled a bit, "A glass of water would be nice." He did finger guns and left the room.
I turned to the side, fiddling with my wand, watching how the crystal wings reflected the light of the lamp as I turned the wand around and around. Doubt nagged at my mind. Maybe I should've told Marco... He probably would've understood, and maybe even had the same thoughts too...
A sudden metal noise from downstairs made me flinch. It sounded like a big bowl falling to the ground. But it was the lack of noise afterwards that really made me feel uneasy. No 'I'm okay', no light swearing...
I stood up from my makeshift bed and made my way downstairs.
Marco's parents were on the couch watching a movie, so I opted to not disturb them and headed directly into the kitchen. The room was dark, it seemed that Marco hadn't bothered to switch the light on.
"Marco?", I asked into the dark room, hoping he'd answer. I casted a spell and my wand started to dimly glow and walked around the kitchen isle to see if he was there, looking around left and right nervously.
I flinched when I accidentally kicked something on the ground. I looked down to see the metal bowl, and nachos strewn on the floor. "What?", I whispered to myself and bend down with a furrowed expression. Just as I was about to pick up the bowl, I heard someone behind me.
I only had time to turn around and glance up at the monster before I fell unconscious from the blow of a club to my head.

"What do you want from us?! What did you do to her?"
"Relax, boy. There's no need for panic."
"Marco...?", I drowsily asked.
"Ah see, she's waking up already."
I blinked my eyes open to find that I was no longer in the kitchen. As it all came back to me I abruptly tried to stand up, only to find myself bound to an... office chair?
"Comet!", I heard Marco call out to me from my right. I turned my head to him, seeing him bound in a chair too.
The next thing I saw made me freeze to my very bones. That monster, standing right before us. The Septarian monster that had caused all my worry, and was now staring into my soul with a smug grin.
